Thanks Chaps
Sent email to Steve and looked at PRG
Ideally I'd like long ramps or better still a tiltbed would suit as it's for a small single seater, so clearance is a little more critical than for the se7en.

Hi Simon
Apologies, hadn't checked dates and not trying to poach entries as this event is nothing to do with me.
Just thought it might be a good pre-cursor to the L7 August Curborough.
Hope the Harewood event goes well

Hi Chaps - Just to say that there is a Sprint being run by the Mid-Cheshire Motor Club on 8th August – details here
Low entry fee and they are looking for entries – plus they will take non championship entrants (you only have to have an MSA licence, I don’t think you need to be a club member at Shenstone either).
Might be a nice summer run out?
Just a thought - Cheers

** NOW SOLD - cheers**
Hi Chaps - as this is no longer my car ☹️ then it's not really my responsibility to answer the questions, but I don't think Adrian the owner will mind me answering stuff if I can.
The car was originally Barry Hunt's Academy car - and he ran it in the Lotus7 club and Midland championships with a strong X-Flow fitted. I bought the rolling chassis (less engine) and fitted a K-Series (well Cougar Engineering / Nigel Keats fitted it to be accurate).
Both Barry and then I were keen to ensure that the car was still usable on the road as we regularly drove it to and from events (there's nothing like turnning up to a sprint with squashed flies on your teeth to get the adrenalin going!).
The car is a live axle, long cockpit chassis (so not a Roadsport) - hence under dash handbrake and this possibly also answers Dave J's question? (I doubt it has a broken engine mount to be honest).
If you have any other questions you ought to ring Adrian - as he's got most of the info!
Hope this helps, Cheers Steve

sorry for being an 🙆🏻 chaps - I was only pointing out the advert because I know the car! (Thanks Grubbster!)
...it's up at £15,495.00 on PH

Now, here’s a nice car for someone! here
How do I know? Well, it used to be mine… if only I had the garage space I would buy it back!
If you are looking for a se7en that is a good car for fast road use and brilliant on track this could be the one!
I invested a lot of time and effort in the car and Adrian has continued to improve it!
(Notice I said ‘it’ and not ‘her’ as this would be too personal and tug on the heart strings too much!) ...it might even suggest that I have an attachment to the old girl (argghhh!!!) 🥰
Cheers Steve

Will do!

we were thinking of a Force, but the DJ was too nice to miss...it's a very pretty car! 🥰
Will did very well again, in both run-offs and won the class I think!
It was a very tricky event...Jos Goodyear bumped the big Pilbeam again and John Bradburn rolled his Gould - there were 3 other major crashes - due to the slippery and treacherous conditions, but all drivers were OK.
...on that basis, putting the car back in the trailer in one piece was a real result! 😬

Hi Darren
Well, literally first drive in the car so a bit scary (Shelsley isn't the most forgiving test track...as you know!)
The car has great potential...not sure about the driver! It'll be good when we get the ergonomics sorted (gearchange is a little awkward).
Don't think we'll be troubling Will just yet!

Hi Gordon
Well, we have upgraded...you know how addictive upgraditis is with se7en's? yes, this is even more so! 😳
Shame about the 21, that would have been ideal! 😬 (tell Kate she's not using it much anyway and the Pilbeam would look just as nice in the garage!)
Cheers Steve

Hi - Here's an interesting alternative for all you sprinters out there...
Pilbeam single seater - click here to see PH advert.
0-60 approx 2.9 secs...fantastic. . It is quick - I won the Midland 2 litre class in this car, 1st season last year - and it's lovely to drive.
May consider a nice road registered seven in PX.
Cheers Steve
