  2. Hi Rob

Well...yes I may have the ideal bits for you...my bottom end could be available...the head went earlier in the year - we finally discovered why the engine had been missing! (there was a crack in the head) and I have subsequently replaced the complete unit with a k series and 6 speed box etc...(not particularly easy or cheap to do with alive axle ...but very rewarding when done!)

The xflow had been rebuilt in the winter so the crank and rods are all OK... it's a 1700 by the way...with forged pistons (new bearings / rings)

I have everything from the radiator through the engine, carbs (twin 40s), gearbox 4spd sc cr, balanced lightened flywheel, racing clutch, dry sump, 4:1 exhaust to the prop

if you're interested then email me: steveday@directselect.com ...I'll pull a complete list together

alternatively, how much do you want for your rolling chassis less engine?...

  3. I am looking for a s/h carbon fibre nosecone...it doesn't have to be perfect as I aim to paint it, so a few scuffs or chips will be fine...but I'm not interested in a completely trashed one!

If you have one of these available please reply to the forum or to my email address: steve.caterham7@virgin.net

    Thanks

  6. Hi Ian

I have 5 X Revolution 4 spoke alloys (4 have 1/2 worn yoko 510s fitted). In good condition. Were fitted to Ford live axle. Not sure if suitable? Plus I also have 4 X 13 inch Bridgestone slicks available cheap.

    Please email steve.caterham7@virgin.net if interested.

  7. user help sought – Yoko 510 V 520 V Bridgestone SO2?

Does anyone have experience of changing from Yokohama 510 to the 520s – what improvements / differences did you experience. Additionally, does anyone have experience of going from, say, 13†510s to the 15†Bridgestones (or others)… do you mix rim widths (6&7â€) or stick with 6â€â€¦how was handling affected?

Main use will be sprints/hillclimbs in my live axle car (ford running gear)

Please note, due to competition regulations I am only interested in details of tyres in List 1A, so things like the 008R/021R/032R are not relevant.

    Thanks!
