  1. The throttle cable attaches to the linkage on the throttle body on the 1.8k series. This is rights next to the pedal box, the cable does a loop back round into the pedal box clipped onto the pedal. Its the plastic linkage that fowls the peal box cover as there's no or very little space. With the cover off it just clears the front, with the cover on it fowls the metal.
  2. Well all built.......time to replace the pedal box cover and........theres not enough clearance between the metal cover and the plastic throtle thing the cable connects to on the engine (look I'm not technical ok!) I've thought about filing back the plastic so it just clears as there is no play in the engine mountings at all . Can anyone see any other solutions or should I just file back the plastic thing!
  3. I've got one and don't regret it, they are also coming down in price so a bit of a bargain for the laser alert and gps system in one. I have been targeted once on the m40 with a gun and the thing went crazy. I saw the men in blue before the device went off and its true unless your quick on the brakes you probably will get caught if doing a large amount over. The gps bit is great though, all those hidden ones are exposed and I have found the blackspot info usefull if a little too regular. If you can get one for less the rrp go for it, I seem to recollect just over 300 is the going rate in some places.

    coolant leak

I've got a leak from the radiator fan switch, I have tightened it up as much as I dare however I don't want to damage the the rad. Anyone know what the best course of action would be....how far can you torque up this nut? cheers in advance

    De threaded

The problem at the moment is that the nut just turns and so I can't get it off. I have tried to pull on the nut while unscrewing however no luck(remembering that the thread is the opposite way on the left side).....any ideas?

    De threaded

Yes, i got the wife to sit in it while I was doing the final tightening and it just let go before the torque wrench did....at least the brakes work i suppose. I thought that as 200 is pretty high it would be nigh on impossible to de thread...looks like I was wrong.

    De threaded

I've just had a bit of a disaster While tightening up the rear hub bolts to 200, I just de threaded the nutsdriveshaft!! I can neither undo or tighten up the left hub nut now....any ideas part from topping myself?

    dents

In my eagerness to get started with the build process I noticed this morning that I've put a tiny dent and chip in the side of the divers side panel. If I want to repair this whats the best course of action and is it financially viable? The cars all black in colour if this makes a difference, it certainly hightlights any marks in the body......great!

    anti-cav tank

I've been reccomended to a chap who can make up from aluminium an anti-cav tank for about 50 quid. This seems a bit of a deal, does anyone have or know the specifications dimensions of the official caterham one. thanks in advance
