I checked cable - no catching. Adjusted idle control screw on throttle / cable lever. The Pin the adjuster screw sits on appears to move as has a rubber boot- ? If so I think it freed up? Am I imaginging this? Result is issue seems to have gone but need more testing - I never get tired of 'testing' my 7 ............. Thanks for the feedback. I will also check Stepper & Plenum hoses once I have checked the manual to see what they are - learning by doing! Steve

My 1400 K Series Supersport has started to drop to 1800 rpm for a couple of seconds when out of gear. Then drops to 1000 rpm idle slowly in next couple of seconds. Usually it drops quickly to 800/900 rpm before settling at about 1000prm. Any ideas why the change? Does this indicate anything serious? What is needed to correct? Thanks

After many years of ignorant bliss it was pointed out that I lacked a clutch arm gaiter to cover the hole! I have bought a new gaiter but it does not come with square spring to fit inside & keep in place. Supplier Burton no longer stock. No joy else where. Anyone got a spare to sell? Thanks

Did you leave the headlights on overnight ? Have you checked the liquid levels in each cell of the battery, if a wet type. Headlights - no. Checked cells of battery & all have fluid above the electrodes. Still think it's a worn out battery - lack of use while SORN over winter & wings replaced plus turning over engine too often, without success, while working out the live cable problem. Thanks for the quick responses (as ever on Blat Chat) No immobiliser on car. Battery lacking power / worn out has occured (have had a power cable issue that meant battery was abused more than usual recently) .... will try jump start to test this out. Steve

Finally perfect weather & ...... will not start ☹️ Yesterday OK. 60 mile local run, back home & a wash getting ready for Beaulieu next Sat. Today : Ignition light. Click from starter when ignition key turned fully but no more. I do get K series click when hot sometimes & seems just like it but car is cold. I have noticed a lack of fuel pump priming 'whir' but maybe it did it first tiem I tried? Could this be related? Fuse for ECU & Fuel pump OK. All wires & connections OK as far as my untrained eye can see. Any ideas? Steve

My 7 is in need of new rear and front cycle wings - stone crazed / cracked & generally knackered from hard blatting REAR - looking for fibreglass. Caterham sell green ones - I hope my mine is 'Caterham Green'. What alternatives do I have? Who sells the wings and paints if neccessary? Who's the best to look at? I thought of sticking some foam on rear wing underside to absorb stone impacts & stop the star cracking. Anyone done this before? Any ideas. And yes I know it is not the 'superlight ethos' Getting rear wings off - whats the best nut release agent? Any tips to avoid ruining nutserts or body work or? Amourfend or alternatives? OK to apply to wings DIY? I've read the do not do nosecones advice! REAR Stone guards & FRONT cycle wings - prob. go for carbon - best options & prices? MOG? Any others? P.S. whats the diffrence between 1x1 & 2x2 carbon fibre? As always any help gratefully received 😶‍🌫️ Thanks Steve

Starter off. Loose bayonet connector but also found hole in the plastic part on underside. Must have been struck at some time from underside so guts exposed. Might explain it! Sadly looks like a new Starter for me. Any recommendations beyond Caterham & Redline for good prices? Steve
