I live about 5 minutes away. That explains it, lucky you living so near to Brooklands. Some lovely cars there today Yes, I liked the grey MGA with the Honda S2000 engine, apparently the red MGA also had that engine, and the pre war Aston Martin, SS100 and Lagonda who all turned up late and couldn't get in the paddock 😳.

I got new bezels and O rings from Holdens here and fitted them myself. I think Speedy Cables and Caerbont Instruments (the old Smiths Instruments outfit) are all part of the same organisation. The bits I got from Holdens are from the same people. Steve D Lotus 7 S2 1500 Cosworth

On my 1967 S2 only the offside wing has a recess to take the bonnet catch which is at the front of the bonnet. The nearside wing has no recess as the bonnet catch is further back because of the air scoop/intake to the Webers and a recess is not needed. I found that ALU-Magic works best on my Seven as it leaves a waxy type finish which keeps the oxidisation away for up to a year. Solvol Autosol is good for heavy oxidisation but leaves no protection and I don't think subsequent varnish leaves a particularly attractive finish. Steve D Lotus 7 S2 1500 Cosworth

Dunlop steel wheel made in the late 60's, ( probably a LP923, if that means anything). PCD 95.25mm (3.75 in) Centre hole 57mm (2.25 in ) Rear offset 92mm Just one needed. Any help greatfully received. Steve D Lotus 7 S2 1500 Cosworth

If you're concerned about the type of compound I suspect these tyres are not for you. They were original equipment on many late 60s and early 70s sports cars including several Lotus cars and had not been available for about 10 years. Steve D Lotus 7 S2 1500 Cosworth

Dunlop Aquajet 165HR13 tyres are available again from Vintage Tyre Supplies at Beaulieu tel 01590 612261. They say they also have the Dunlop moulds for 155HR13, 175/70/13 and 185/70/13 and are willing to re-manufacture these if there is sufficient interest. Steve D Lotus 7 S2 1500 Cosworth
