I used a cheap camping rollmat from tesco and stuck it on with araldite. Two years, sticky tyres, lots of miles and no cracks. Now just need to sort out the sides of the car as they look like they've been shot by a mad farmer!!

Normally just the central (2 x Y9) as these perish due to heat and oil from the diff. I've replaced mine about six times in 26000 miles and the outer bushes are still original and look new!

I had to replace mine half way through our honeymoon tour of europe (3500 miles). I did mine on a beach, dug a pit as only had the normal jack!!
Really easy job, change them before you go and then they may get you all the way around plus you'll know how to do it.

What day are you going to the show Peter? I'm considering going on the Saturday and will be going in my pathfinder which should fit the cage in easily.

I Meant to ask you about that one before. Was it a damp road, wet road or standing water?
Concerned now as with my figure I obviously have far less weight pushing my rubber down onto the road!! 😬
