  1. As per the blog, https://www.lotus7.club/blogs/seven-new-zealand-part-1-yorkshire-norfolk-arch-and-container my car is being readied to join us out in New Zealand. To get the car registered here, there is a need for the car to be looking the part, which means minimal rust. My dampers are 20 yrs old Billies with corresponding springs. Both are now showing their age (read scruffy), so I'm looking for a cost effective way of getting them to look better. Has anyone upgraded and got their originals tucked away for just incase moment and would be willing to sell on? (For '96 dedion chassis).
  2. Does anyone have a fuel injection tank, preferably with a pump that is surplus to requirements? I'm considering converting from carbs. Many thanks!
  3. Sorry missed this thread, I've just posted as a new topic. - I've had the same error while creating a post.
  4. I've just recieved the following error while creating the courier post in chitchat: Commit at Mon, 28 Sep 2015 07:45:37 +0100 failed. Solr will commit at the next interval.
  5. Thanks for doing that. I can deliver them a resonable distance in the morning if that helps?
  6. As the subject says really. I'm looking to get two seats repaired by Oxted. I'm not time restrained at present. Thanks!
  7. You joined Commonside in front of me this morning
  8. James Whiting must be well worth speaking to. Wow! It is 19 years ago I put my zetec in using parts and advice he provided.
  9. I don't think fuel pressure is the input for KOEO (key on, engine off) control of the fuel pump. You don't want fuel being sprayed indefinitely out of a ruptured fuel line. I'm not familiar with the duratec control specifically, but some (many) systems just prime for a fixed time after the ignition is turned on unless there is a crank signal detected.
  10. Thanks very much! . I'm helping a friend take it out and he wants the car back on the road asap, so he might not be that patient. I'll let you know
  11. is going down to Phil at Road and Race in Kent. Is anyone heading that way? I'm taking the box out on Friday, so anytime after that would be great. Thanks! Andy
  12. A 1024x1024 image is cropped too.
  13. "Pictures larger than 1024x1024 pixels will be scaled down. " (Where do a find a quote format?) My thumbnail image is 1024x686 and is scaled down to 800x800. Can we include a comment than non square images will be cropped?
  14. When is one considered on-line? I've been actively browsing the forum for a while but its only after starting this post that my name is shown on the rhs.
  15. Oh yes, enjoyed that On my way home from a great cup of coffee with a mate. Did seem to be more muppets on the road than usual.
  16. I have used one of These, here for ages. As you say, Viton seals.
  17. My recollection of a conversation with James is that he designed and specified these calipers be used with the standard master cylinder. I'm pleased to have purchased a second hand on here a few years ago! Anyway, to the b/b but 😳 to the £
  18. The Lucas catalogue is very useful and proved useful when I had similar issues trying to find the right starter for mine - ended up with a LRS00760.
  19. Ours is a '96. I like to think of the bubbling as part of the car's character. (Until I get it re-skinned in the not near future).
  20. I'm currently out of the uk, but have spare O-rings at home. I'm happy to send some out with a donation to NtL? The above instructions are straightforwards to follow
  21. Andy, your photo is of a CAM sensor, not crank.
  22. and a great run home from work it was
  23. I'll support TomB's suggestion. Uncooked rice and some brake cleaner does a great job.

    Zetec - Oil

Mine is due for an oil change so this is interesting. I'm really suprised that changing from one reputable brand of oil to another brand of oil makes such a difference. I'm not trying to dispute the claim, more interested to understand why one oil would be so different from the next when the basic spec (5W-30) is the same.
