  1. I had a search so not found anything similiar but i am looking to remove the standard (bulky, heavy and aero dynamics of a brick) front headlights and replace with something else. For a race series i do they require it (something about scotland and bad weather...) so was thinking some DLR's and attach to roll cage. Anyone had any experience of doing this and any pitfalls you had to avoid?

    Race Suit

cheers for feedback and sounds like a plan. I have the half doors interesting on the duct tape may keep that in mind. Tonneau - do people get them from soft bits for sevens and presume leather rather than the (aluminium?) R300 one?

    Race Suit

Just wondering what other people have done in terms of race suit and relative £££. I am looking to race a fair bit this coming year and whilst some might go huge amount of ££ i am wary of the weather (i.e. peeing rain) and wondering if i went for a lovely suit whether after some lovely Oulton Park/Knockhill weather its gonna be not quite as nice as it once was. For those that have done it alot and suffered the open top - go cheaper and buy more often or go more expensive and ensure its dried throughly etc..
  4. yeh i had a good long chat with him about racing when i was up was very interesting to talk to
  5. I got my car MOT'd with them and they had to do some wiring (for some reason rear license plate wasnt illuminate but passed previous year MOT) and was all good. Not gone the servicing route though.
  6. ah appears to be consistently showing a bulleted list with each bullet point an actual link now. thanks all.
  7. Someone wanted a few pictures of the layout of a supersport so I decided to post a blog on it. However seen various strange things to do with it: Sometimes i see the first version of it I created (no bulleted list) I see this in my other browser Sometimes i see the version where all the https links are just text sometimes see this in main browser I basically test on another browser(s) where i have not logged into the website. Intrigured what others see when you go to http://www.lotus7.club/blogs/caterham-supersport-140-engine-bay More bizarre on another browser if if - click link, then click name to left, then the blog of this update it shows a list of URL's but links are just plain text :/
  8. Right thats me posted some pictures of before the conversion (forgot i had these) and also pictures of what it looks like post conversion. If anyone wants any more let me know - I didnt bother taking nosecone off but can do if required. http://www.lotus7.club/blogs/caterham-supersport-140-engine-bay Interestingly if you click this link it doesnt appear to show all the text...
  9. There was a thread on the forums (http://www.lotus7.club/comment/2102434) about the layout of the engine bay of a Supersport and (as expected) the official diagrams are not exactly blessed with clarity. Someone suggested posting a blog of the layout so here is is. If any further pictures are required please let me know :) Here is the car before the conversion to show how it looked in tracksport specification: Beforev http://1drv.ms/1xc9XN9 http://1drv.ms/1tQJKzO After as a Supersport http://1drv.ms/1xc9L0A http://1drv.ms/1xc9Lxw http://1drv.ms/1xc9Ml1 I kept the pictures at original resolution so that its easier to zoom in and did'nt embed so load time was fine - click view original at top so you can zoom in fully.
  10. let me take some pictures and post a blog up then. I would hope if anyone is going to get it right it would be McMM :)
  11. I did a search of forum and didnt find this discussed before but looks like this is a newer version of the A048 and has some improvements. Anyone given it a pop for track usage and if so how have you found it?
  12. i had a tracksport and McMillan Motorsports did the upgrade to supersport and yeh more racing side of things. If you need any pictures and stuff then let me know or a video :)

    HTTPS

in theory if its non-https someone could do bad stuff as its not secure v's https which is. So if the site was https you would see a certificate for site is valid and then you would know someone hasnt pointed you to a dodgy version of the site where they could steal credentials.
  14. thanks for update as well good to know
  15. i had some issue in first post try a ctrl-f5 (in IE not sure about others) to force a refresh. as for voltages cant remember sorry i think they read normal :/ http://1drv.ms/1w7byji http://1drv.ms/1w7bzDT
