  1. Thanks - Dibs on one of those senders in that case. PM sent
  2. I'd be interested in an Oil pressure sender please. Do you know if they are M10 or M12 thread as there are 2 sizes (something like M10 pre-1998 and M12 for later K-series cars)? Thanks
  3. I bought tickets to see Tom Ball perform at The Capitol in Horsham this evening. Unfortunately due circumstances changing 2 of my party cannot make it. He's a fantastic singer and the concert is sold out. Tickets are with the venue's box office for resale. They are Circle R6 and R7 at face value £32.50 each https://www.thecapitolhorsham.com/whats-on/all-shows/tom-ball-curtain-call/21560 Box office tel is 01403 750220, Option 2. They open at 13:30
  4. Looks a very nice, original example. Tyres look to be Avon ZT7 with just the spare being a ZV1
  5. If you like statistics then the 2024 AutoBild (German AutoExpress) review is here and the Toyo Proxes Comfort fares well being placed 7th out of 21. Note that tyre size on the test was 205/55 R16 but still a useful comparison
  6. Pretty well all the 14" tyres out there from the mainstream manufactures are not specialist fit for lightweight sports cars. That said, neither were the Avon ZV3 or ZT7. If you move up the price/performance bracket then the Toyo R888 come into scope
  7. Takes me back to my TD A-level days. If no interest on here then a local college maybe?
  8. Same dilemma new. The new Caterham standard tyre is the Toyo Proxes Comfort that replaces the Avon ZT7. Personally I think the Goodyear Efficient Grip will take some beating as it scores highly in so many industry test reviews.
  9. My trusty Volvo V70 is up for sale. I bought it in 2018 from close friend who owned it from 2002; it was his company car from new. 2.4, 5 cylinder petrol, 140bhp, 5 speed manual. This is the 'de-tuned' version of the B5244S2 engine that has lower down torque (220 NM at 3750) so it pulls really well. Midnight Blue with black leather interior. MOT until 19th May 2024. Known & documented history. Well maintained, 176,500 miles. Michelin CrossClimate tyres (fronts new, rears 6mm). Recent battery & exhaust system (balance of 3 year warranty). Excellent family car & superb workhorse. Specification includes: · Full leather interior · Central locking · Electric windows · Power steering · Dual zone climate control · ABS · Alloy wheels · CD & tape(!) 8 speaker audio system · Dual front and side airbags · 60/40 split rear seat · Built-in Volvo central booster seat Bullet proof construction with legendary practicality. All it never had is a tow bar, but one could be retrofitted. Averages 35 mpg with mid-40's mpg on longer runs. 2 sets of keys with remote fob plus a Service key Good points: See above. Bad points: Almost 25 years of use means it's somewhat past it's prime in the looks department. It is however clean and tidy and very comfortable. The front electric windows are wired back-to-front (driver's side switch from a LHD car) The tailgate central locking sometimes dead-locks and needs an extra 'blip' on the remote to open Driver’s seat base stitching is partially undone on one section. I have a seat cover and it's fine. The alloys are a bit tatty where the lacquer has seen better days. Some of the clearcoat lacquer on the paintwork is lifting. There's a superficial dent in the front o/s wing. Reason for sale: Not ULEZ (London) compliant £1500 ono. Located in RH15 (West Sussex) BM for more details
  10. We'd be interested if we didn't already have one! Looks great and is very well priced.
  11. Hi - My S3 has this larger 280 wheel which (apparently) was fitted as standard to the SV. Every car is different (seat combos, lowered floored, etc) so hard to gauge legroom in another vehicle. Mine's on a QR boss so you'd be welcome to try on your car if it would fit. PM me if interested.
  12. Is Clutch cable OEM part and suitable for 2001 1.6 K-series? Price please
  13. That has to be the most comprehensive listing and set of photos on Autotrader I've ever seen. Think your 'Good Condition' description is way too modest. Have a BTT on me and best of luck with the the sale
  14. How does the Oxted half-hood differ from the SBFS item? 1st dibs please
  15. Thinking of coming to Goodwood tomorrow as a spectator. Are spectators welcome? What are the start & finish times for the event? I probably won't be there until lunchtime so is there an afternoon session?
  16. 1st dibs please. What year are they? Likely they'll have expired for competition/track use, but so have the ones I've fitted at the moment.
  17. Same question (and dibs if it fits) from me on the half-hood please. I've an S3 with the standard Caterham roll bar
  18. SNAP . . . . My 1.6 EU3 did this after the factory SS upgrade back in 2008 and went back and forth to diagnose as they thought it was something with the timing or TPS. Tired (Banner) battery was root cause. It still does the same when the battery is low on charge after standing and reoccurs about every 4 to 5 years when the battery is aging. I've had my Seven another 14 years now and same thing each time. Identical symptoms to what you describe including the yellow light and rolling bump start that fixes it! ECU needs a minimum voltage to maintain the idle and it won't run smoothly - idles like a pig and if you step off the throttle it stalls. Treat yourself to a nice new battery and I'm confident it will resolve. You're the only other person I've ever come across with a description of an identical problem, so not a case of TADTS. PS - I have a battery isolator and it helps enormously. It's when I forget to activate it that after a couple of weeks I get the same situation
  19. Took the car out for a short run today (2001 K-Series Supersport). Not been run in about 3 weeks. Noticed the green indicator warning light (middle of row of 3 at the bottom of the tacho) came on as soon as I activated the headlight rocker switch. Does this for either the side or headlight on position. The green light is about 30-50% of illumination and flickers slightly. Indicators themselves, hazards, all lights and switches seem to be working fine; even the rear fog and reversing light. No failed bulbs. Have briefly checked connections plus given everything on the dash and fusebox a wiggle. Smacks of a bad earth but where to start?
