Yep, I think they are having a laugh the fellow is an officious little twerp (IMHO). But I need to get it passed in the next 14 days so I have to do what the 'twerp' wants....

It needs to be the rear as the SVA station can't test the front.. Chris b - What have you done? is it a bike computer job?

Has anyone had any sucess with a bike computer fixed to the rear wheel? Having problems with my local SVA test centre and this might be the solution! Thanks, Rob

The plastic screws are a bit lighter, but unless you are down to saving grams here and there nobody buys them for saving weight. Most folk who are 7 owners (myself included of course)could probably lose twice the amount by missing out on the second pie at lunch

I also have one of these quaife boxes and am also perplexed at the fact that: a, they design a box that spits oil when running and then b, the manufactures want me to pay £30 for a better breather because of a known defect. Isn't there something legal that says a supplied product should be fit for purpose

1 side of the ears are flat and the other has been machined to give a camber angle. if you measure the width of the ears at the top and then at the bottom you should be able to calculate the angle through pythagorus (spelling?).

I heard the gauges are sensitive to vibration and some people remote mount them because of this. You might want to test the gauge resistivity prior to doing anything major.

Is it set up for 8 or 4 targets? As the bolt head on the hub is ussually picked up twice so the circumference needs to be halved on a 4 targets. Could well be caused by a loose braket or even loose connection, the system is pretty staright-forward: Stack Dash - Connection - Cable with proximter attached - proximeter is in a bracket that is in line with the hub cap head screws. Manual for the dash is on the internet through STACK (the button numbers are not in the same order as on a Caterham) Good Luck!

Unfortunately not, all my mates think I am a bit weird putting a motorbike engine in a car I built myself. The Westfield chaps have advised I take the fuel pressure down to about 13 PSI. Will take it to a freindly garage next week to get it tested. No solutions on the stack wheel speed calibration or proof of engine age yet though....
