    Epynt awards

Hi Dan, yes it is yours, I went to the awards and Simon collected the spares... Robert
  3. I hope ticking the box under the emergency contact to say they will be at the event is what they need from us, but I am not sure.

    Cadwell Park

Hi Tony, I'll see you at the trackday.
  5. Just a heads up this is in the for sale forum, Robert
  6. Graham, very well done for securing 3, I am sure if the weather is bad we can squeeze either 9 or 10 cars in as long as we are allocated the high number garages close to the pit lane exit (which don't have a central pillar).
  7. Hi Steve, I think your suggestion of competitors needing two sets of tyres to be competitive is exactly what most competitors would like to avoid, due to cost (an additional set of wheels an tyres would cost about the same as a season of entry fees) and in addition feeling the need to change suspension setup for different tyres. Currently we have a gentleman’s agreement in Class 3 that we all run on Avon ZZSs. This has leveled the playing field, and in general is well respected. I, and I believe, several others have suggested changing the regs to read something like: "For Class 1 and 2 the recommended tyre is YOKO A539, for classes 3 and 4 the recommended tyre is Avon ZZS. To obtain class awards at individual events any MSUK List 1A or List 1B permitted tyre can be used in class 1 and 2, and class 3 and 4 respectively, however, to score championship points the recommended tyres must be used, and the championship scores will be awarded relative to the fastest driver who is using the recommended tyres. " Note, this does not preclude a newcomer to the dabbling with whatever tyres they have on their car, just if they want to get serious then they would need to buy the recommended tyre. The aim is remove the risk of a costly and unnecessary tyre war [which would put off some current and possibly some new competitors] and ensure that the awards decided against PBs and records are not won by a new tyre advantage. It would seem unfair given how the championship, Edward Lewis etc. are decided to have a class (or two) where everyone in that class suddenly goes significantly faster due to a tyre change. It would mean great performances in other classes would not stand a chance. For instance if a substantially better list 1A was found then the championship would realistically only be between class 1 and 2, do we want to fall into a situation like that?
  8. For the dual drives, the ideal solution is that the faster driver runs in class position, and the second driver runs after the class in the next batch. Our number even suggest this 500s run before 600s.
  9. Hi All, Rather than a free for all, and to help lining up for the start. I suggest it might be good to allocate a garage in the following groups, I hope by doing this I am not treading on Justin The Garage Monitor's toes (Ben you can choose if you want to be with Class 1 or squeeze in with your coach!) Class1 and a bit Ben Charlie W Steve C The Bostons Ivan John C Roger C Class 2 and a bit Graham H Ian J Chris Whitlow Paul C Jonathan H Clive Malcolm & Sam Aled Class 3 Roger Legg Jon & Charlotte Tony Justin Grahame W Punchy Rob and Laura Rob J Class 4 and above Rob S Mike S Chris A Jeremy D Graham D Shaun & Gill Simon R (Ben) Only a suggestion.
  10. Hi, I got one as well. Robert
  11. I agree Rob, however they count each of the pairs of garages as one, so a total of 11 and we should in proportion ask for 4 of the 11 not just 2. I guess that it is too late to convince them, so we should all try to get them on Wednesday and if we need to hand some back so be it (or of course sell them at a profit for Prostate Cancer Research to the highest bidders on the day!)
  12. I am also keen to get a space, so please add me to the list, Robert
  13. Hi Philip, For once we agree, I can see no benefit of a tyre war so would strongly support the continuation of our Gentlemen's agreement to continue to use ZZSs.
  14. Happy New Year Punch, is this not a minor inconvenience compared to Tony's last run at Blyton
  15. Hi James, Please can I have the gear selector, thanks, Robert
  16. Yes please for Sally and me, Robert
  17. Hi Tom, I am interested in the wings, will send PM Robert
  18. Maybe we should just merge class 2 and 3...
  19. Philip, You have convinced us all (and I hope yourself) that you are the man to beat, well done. I look forward to chasing your times from now on, Robert
  20. The green bit offers less traction than I expected...
