  1. It was me, famous at last with my first "spotted" On its way back from Caterham midlands with the rear dif mount changed, rear brake line changed....and now 140hp instead of 125 😬 oh and cleaned by them
  2. Would be interested with a set for my7, anyone able to create any of these covers? If not I'm looking to make something out of Ali over the winter.
  3. No idea how or what they did when changing the rad over, I do know after half hour driving I can hold my hand right on the vent outlet with fan on full no problem at all, have to try playing with pipes tomorrow. Was done by midlands which doesn't fill me with confidence if I'm honest....dread to think what happens when the 7 goes for the dif carrier and brake pipe (and 140hp mod maybe)
  4. Couple of tech questions for the experts. I had a standard sigma 125 sv which had the original small plastic top radiator in it last winter which seemed to pump out a good supply of hot air as in hold your hand by the vent and it felt hot. Said rad split and so replaced by midlands Caterham with the bigger all aluminium type from the 140( part of the upgrade project bit by bit until it is 140!). Out yes, ternary heater on full just didn't seem to be as good as last winter it's only 2'c out there and the legs wernt warm at all....either I'm getting old or something's adrift. Temp Guage reads around 80 which is what it's always done, so is the bigger rad keeping the water cooler (Ali blank plate springs to mind) or is it something else? Airlock somewhere ? Any suggestions? Also as it's a fair weather 7 3 times now I've gone out to drive it and flat battery. What's people's recommendations for this? This time I've dropped the neg lead off the battery, is it worth buying a conditioner/and recommendations on them? And now it's prob going to be longer between drives due salt, is it work sticking on axle stands or just keep tyres pumped up and give it a roll back and forth every couple of weeks?

    Upgrade options

Thanks for the replies and info. Looks like the main options are Caterham to 140 or premier to 150 or 175. Was half hoping there might be other options out there that I'm not aware of, looks like the Caterham 140 option is the way to go. I'd love the pp175 but just don't have that sort of £ spare, 2.2k£ isn't too much whereas pp 5.5k£ is an awful lot as ich as I'd like that tweak!

    Upgrade options

Yup the 175 would be nice seems pointless doing the pp 150 really when your paying that money may as well pay the little extra and do 175 I just don't have best part of 6k Not sure what other options there re for a by standard 125 before I go down the 140 Caterham route and if its the best option. For 5500£ I'd prob look ,ore to trade in my car and upgrade to a newer bigger 7 and the fun of another build!!

    Upgrade options

Quick question for the blat chat options. Got a 125hp sigma at the minute and fancying a bit more ummpppfff options below 1 Caterham 140hp mod about 2000£ 2 premier power 150hp about 4500 3 premier power 175 up about 5500 4 any other option I'm not aware of I'd like option 3 finances say option 1, option 2 seems a lot when the Caterham option is similar but much less. Are there any other tweak options or what would blat chatters do?
  8. Sounds like a production line Richard !,how's the stone guard plan doing?and a thought how about a Ti sump guard ?
  9. What's next then? Some nice exhaust guards ?
  10. I know Ti can be drilled and like most things it's down to technique But if I can avoid drilling the stuff I do, due to job change I don't have access to free cobalt bits any more.... ! Brushed finished would be nice
  11. Will they be natural or high polish finish for the stone deflectors? Or either avail? And knowing what Ti is like to drill I hope there pre drilled !
  12. Caterham want £2300 for there 140 conversion so seems to me quite a good deal for the price rather than 4k for the pp 150 option?
  13. I hope there not going to cost me too much for stone guards Richard ?
  14. Used white sikaflex with my wings which are viper blue not a hint of bein able to see it

    DINITROL

I bought 2x 1ltr bottles, used a brush to do all the chassis members, all the inside skin I could get to and loosened the fuel tank moved it out the way to do the back skin also all the fuel tank and then used a garden mister to spray it in any orifice I could find. Had a full tin left over and about half of the one I opened, it's very thin almost water consistency and spreads well but does take a couple of weeks befor its dried enough not to just wipe off when you touch it. Now it's been on the road for 5 months I'm just about to give it another good spray with a garden mister to make sure it's all been got. Just don't forget to rinse the mister out when you've done its cleans easy, but maybe buy a new one before you spray your tomatoes etc, not sure dinitrol tastes so good I'm also going to give the bottom skins (under seats) a good layer of underseal next week, along with inside the wings to try an reduce stones leaving the star marks on the top surface, after that I'm hoping to drive the tyres off it this year
  16. The post 2010 SV grill isn't a grill, it's a piece of art. Forget the carbon look we need more Titanium bits....pimp my 7!
  17. Another for Dave at premier brilliant job
  18. Not long hopefully for the new grill I'm sure Richard will post, but he's got all the details from me for a post 2010 sv grill.
  19. Rich, will you be able to do post 2010 grills ? mines a 2012 kit from may, im hoping for my first mod as an xmas prezzie...
  20. what about grill for 2012 sv ?
  21. Having done exactly as you have and per the manual I also sleeved wires with heat shrink and grommet. When it came back from Caterham mids it was minus the grommet, they had cut off the heat shrink over about 8 cms and put clear hose over instead( why the clear washer hose not just over the top of the heat shrink I don't know, it looked sh@t! ). I would think just clear hose over heat shrink where it goes through strut, no grommet, and some clear silicon to seal it all. Heads up, they did the same where the wires enterered the body of the car too. Should give a to midlands for putting it all straight again afterwards wheni kicked off as I said it looked terrible as it was but don't see why the clear washer hose over heat shrink should be a problem. This was an aug inspection. Pm me if you want more heads up on what seemed to be done by midlands to get it through
  22. Carnt wait. Let me know if your stuck for a template and will look at getting mine off the car - only 4 months old so perfect condition. Looking forward to some titanium for xmas !
