  1. Can I dibs the FIA rollbar for new member James. Is it the single or double diagonal? It would be for a London pickup if possible and can be whenever its available. No major hurry. Thanks Richard.
  2. Nick, It might be worth letting the organisers know as they often hold a reserve list of people wanting places. Managed to get a place like this last year, sorry your not able to join in the fun this time, maybe see you at the next one. Richard
  3. Yes please. Pressume as they were bonded, no cracks. Would you like me to send a cheque or pay via pay pal. Not able to collect as I don't live too close. Should add: I pressume it is the colour blue of the car photographed on your website. Edited by - Richard Ryland on 10 Jul 2009 20:43:31
  4. You were sat in pole position at the Bath road junction. It made me think I ought to refit the screen so I can use mine more regularly.
  5. Sounds silly but my (what sounded like) serious rattle turned out to be a pound coin under the passenger tillet. Good Luck. Richard
  6. It might be worth being more specific in model and type of headsets. As a quick search on Demon Tweeks pulls up a couple around the same price mark.
  7. Good Timing. I was sat at work thinking about this, as I think mine has been on the way out for some time (erratic when it gets hot). Where is the sender located? Does anyone know the thread size? Is it 7/16ths UNF? I may have located a 12V digital possibility but will keep you posted if testing goes well.
  8. Not the most ideal match but it would leave you with options in the future. The little car is going well, in between showers! I haven’t had as much use as I would have liked this year, but we have gained a little girl in the family so hardly surprising. My upgrade for the year was an aero screen and I have to say it has been so much fun, just a bit surreal having nothing in front of you. I think the screen will come back for the winter because rain really hurts. Alternatively, I hope someone offers you lots of money for the plate. Hope to see you at a meet soon.
  9. I don’t believe it! Having been on a 51 plate for the past three years I bought a C7 plate last week, but yours would have been a winner. Definitely not getting another seven in the short term then? Hope you’re all keeping well. Richard
  10. Out walking with the family when i spotted you near the padestrian crossing by the river. And you weren't tempted to give it a squirt under the railway bridge! Hope you had a good day.
  11. Do you know what the frame size is other than large? As from what I can see these were available in a range of sizes upto 60cm. I am only 5ft 10 and have a 32" inside leg so idealy would be after a 54 or 57cm frame. I would also need to check with the boss before comitting, which I will work on. Could you also sort me out with some pictures? Richard
  12. Sporting the number plate 'R500 CC' and on the back of a lorry. 😬 Think its quite well known by now! It did look nice.
  13. If Ric355 doesn't have it, may be interested in the Steering wheel What boss has the steering wheel been drilled for? May be interested if it is drilled for the quick release boss in the right configuration (will have a look in the morning for the layout I required). Would be interested in pics to see condition if possible. Thanks Richard
  14. I think it depends on which side intrusion bar. My early one that bolts to the underside of the car does require a cut out for the normal side screens. Just about to tackle the whole side screen issue and will probably arrange to go down and see soft bits for sevens, as I have found them very good for tailoring items.
  15. I chased something very similar around my mini (998) for about 6 months. Ran fine at all times except under full load. (going up Hills, worse when hot). It turned out that it was the head gasket leaking from when I had replaced some valves Went like a dream after that. Not a huge job either luckily. Not saying its definatley this but if all else fails it may be worth a look. Good luck. It will all be worth it when it runs as it should
  16. Myles You don't happen to have a number for either of these so that I could call and ask the question?
  17. I bought an ex race car which has the three seals on it. One is on the timing belt cover; this one is blatantly different / newer than the others. Is there any way of finding out if the belts have been changed or just inspected? Who is able to do these seals? (Only Caterham?). It was an ex academy car (1.6 K series) if this helps? Its now done 7K miles so is it worth just cutting the seal and doing it myself? Also about to do an oil change, is there anything that has to be done differently as it has an apollo tank fitted? Any answers greatfully recieved.
  18. I have had the same problem ever since the re-build over the winter. I've not been able to track it down, but did change to the R300 exhaust system so guess it may be something in this area, as i noticed they have one less support brkt than the standard roadsport exhaust. Would be intrested if you manage to track it down as i rarely have a passenger to prod aroud to try and find it. Richard
  19. I bought the Volvo one, went and saw my local dealer and they gave me a discount so i think from memory it was about £85. They let me try it in the car before i bought, and it is a great fit. They also have a coulour option of Blue or Black. And you can use it in the tintop! Others have said that it's best to use 3" harnesses rather than 4" as they suit littler shoulders better.
  20. Lovelly day, made me wish I had taken mine out instead of the company car.
