Interesting contributions. So is it the mapping that is causing these failures?
In 28 years of motoring I've never had one of these sensors fail on another car.

Sigma 125 engine. Just replaced the second lambda sensor at 12,000 miles. It was very sooted up. Mine is a '07 car and to be honest the mapping has never been great. Could this be why the sensors are failing?
Is it worth getting Caterham to update the map (being an early sigma car I presume Caterham would have evolved the mapping software)? That would at least be cheaper than a full rolling road re-map. It also seems no one has the ability to access the ECU other than the two Steves and I'd rather avoid the hassle and expense of travelling to them.
Thanks in anticipation.

Well that's what they looked like...
Lots of strangely dressed white witches, druids and hippy types at Avebury early this morning as I blasted through.
I think they enjoyed the sight and sound. Well I was encouraged by the vigorous hand gestures on their part.
May have to drive through later on tonight to make sure.
Quoting RS2000: Go on then....... TLHSM ??
Never been one to "obey" so in our house we have, The Long Haired Sergeant Major.
Used to see you every now and again, but not recently. I'd pass you on my journey between Broad Hinton and Swindon.
I have a full hood and half-hood. I wouldn't say that the former makes entry any easier - just quicker to put on and suitable for most conditions.
No experience of the easy access options.
Taken off an '07 car having covered 11,000 miles and with some fluid loss evident - but not sure exactly from where. Replaced with Radtec alternative rather than trying to repair. Core looks fine.
No idea on value.
Radiator is in Swindon.
Recently I ordered a replacement radiator for my Sigma powered SV. I got no joy with Radtec direct but ordered one of their radiators via Seven Speed. It was shipped direct to the garage who are doing some work on my car.
I thought it would be a straight swap. That appears not to be the case. Apparently the inlet and outlet points are fouled by the radiator shroud.
Anyone have any relevant experience they can share?
Thanks in anticipation.
