  5. Hi Stuart What you need to do is remove the yellow plastic insert in the half of the connector that you want to remove the wires from and then ( if I remember correctly) poke a very thin bladed plain screwdriver alongside the individual 'connector blades' to release a plastic 'lug' that stops it from coming out. Then pull out cable with 'connector blade' on end. Don't lose or dislodge the yellow rubber grommet things that stop water ingress into the connector when you reassemble. It's a lot easier than this description makes out

  9. Thanks Oily , that makes that clear. I wasn't sure if the part number including the number '280' indicated 'degrees'. But obviously not.
  10. Question for 'Oily' I think. Which of the camshafts that you listed are the ones that PTP list as R140 part no O1LGC000280 X 2 ?
  11. Hi Clive YHM Andrew Myson
  12. Hi Clive I do have a 1933 Peugeot P50T 98cc 2 stroke cluttering up the garage if you fancy a challenge. Quite a lot of work carried out on the bike in 1992 including frame repaint, engine bearings replaced, magneto rebuilt and brake drums relined. Used to run up and down the lane and round large garden where we used to live that summer and then stored in the garage since. It will need some work to get in going I'm sure and I never managed to find a dust cover for the mag and the rear stand is missing( the type that hooks up into the rear mudguard). It has a V5 with matching engine and chassis numbers. I have never seen another one, all the Peugeots I've seen from the late 20's and early 30's are large capacity bikes, but this one looks like their little brother. Yours for £200 (I need the room)I think I have some pics if your interested Andrew Myson
  13. Hi Tyrone Before you install all the new pop-rivets spray lots of Waxoyl or Dinotrol into the chassis tubes via the rivet holes and with a bit of luck the old bits of rivet will be caught in the gooo and not rattle around Andrew Myson
  14. Hi Barbarella You don't by any chance have more than the ignition key hanging on the key ring as the 'detent' on the ignition switch is often not that strong and the weight of extra keys can pull it into the off position Andrew Myson
  15. Hi Tony Primaries 2 and 3, and suprise suprise 1and 4. Andrew Myson
  16. Hi Alan & Daisy Spotted at long last , we were driving the Green 7 with yellow stripe. Great day out watching the motorsport, and the drive from Cambridge was good fun Most entertaining bit of driving all day on the track was car 729 Nigel Spackman (I think) in his Caterham 7 HPC with a bit of slide on going round Orchard with lots of correction in both directions all the way to Ettore's Bend He got a huge round of applause from the crowd Andrew Myson
  17. I think I've got to grips with the technology now. Pictures should be on a screen near you Graham Andrew Myson
  18. 😳Apologies Graham if you haven't got the pictures yet, I emailed you last night with 9 photos attached, I've just realised that the images I sent were at 7meg pixels (it's a new camera and I'm still getting to grips with the software )so I guess it would be a huge file perhaps this was the problem. I will have another go at sending them once I have consulted the instruction manual. Andrew Myson
  19. Built in 1933, road registered with V5 and matching engine and chassis numbers. I bought the bike in 1992 and had the following work carried out, frame repaint, tank internally sealed and repainted as per original colour(green), engine bearings replaced, magneto rebuilt, both brake drums relined, and saddle re-upholstered. After this work was done the bike was run up and down a lane and round a large garden (great fun . Since then it has been stored in a dry garage. The bike is pretty much complete apart from a dust cover for the end of the magneto and the rear stand which would hook up onto the rear mudguard. To get the bike running again no doubt it would need some 'fettling' as it has been stored for quite a while. I have never seen another one, all the Peugeots I've seen from the late 20's and early 30's are large capacity bikes but this one looks like their little brother. I need to sell it to make room in the garage and also I don't have the time to get it up and running again so is anyone interested in a fun project ? Yours for £300 I have pictures that I can email if anyone wants more info. Andrew M. Andrew Myson
