  1. Hi Coyote, Pendennis has dropped out, over to you and your mate if you are still interested. Phil B (7 at last)
  2. Hello Doug, I may be interested in this unit. I have a Zetec 2.0 running on carbs and am collecting what I need to go injection over the winter. I was looking at an Omex 600 system. How much is in the package you are selling it sounds like a new loom is needed, any pics and what is the dongle you are referring to? Does this splice into an old ford loom? Thanks, Phil B (7 at last)
  3. Hi, I have a bag tank which I bought for a project then decided to get a std alloy injection tank. It is for an external pump, standard capacity, screw filler neck and no fuel level sensor. Yours for £50 which is what I paid for it. I'm in Horsham West Sussex. Phil B (7 at last)
  4. Hi, I am heading down to Chepstow from West Sussex to collect the fuel tank on Tuesday. If anyone else has bought from DavidS3 and wants their bits moved back to Sussex I am willing to do this. Phil B (7 at last)
  5. I'm looking for an S type seat. Cloth would do, but leather considered depending on price. Headrest is also optional as my tonneau does not have pockets. BTW, I have a low back grp seat if anyone is interested in a swap. thanks. Phil B (7 at last)
  6. BTT. Still looking for an alloy tank as preferred solution. Phil B (7 at last)
  7. Eugen, Thanks, you have BM. Phil Phil B (7 at last)
  8. Hi Eugene, Can you provide a copy of the final parameters you settled on for your Zetec map please? I am about to order a pair of RL200 cams to drop into my Raceline blacktop and would like to update the map to something tried and tested. I assume you are running an Omex 200? I have 45s with 5 progression holes, not sure of the jetting but I opted for the Webcon recommendation rather than spend an additional wedge at a rolling road. I really ought to take the covers off and confirm the carb settings. Thanks. Phil B (7 at last)
  9. Thanks for the offer. Can I run a fuel sender with a bag tank and would I need an external swirl pot? Maybe a visit looksee what you have would help my understanding? You can BM at philblagden@aol.com. regards, Phil B (7 at last)
  10. Hi, I am planning to uprade to T/Bs and am looking for an injection fuel tank and possibly in-tank pump as well. I have a 2 year old alloy carb tank which would become available should anyone be interested once the change over is done. Hopeful in Horsham. Phil B (7 at last)
  11. Hi Andrew, the IRS idea is still a bit of a pipe dream to be honest and it would require a fair bit of chassis surgery. What had caught my eye was the IRS set-up on the Fisher Fury. This appears to all mount onto a cradle which has the potential to be transferred into the back end of a 7. BGH Geartech own the Fury now and one day I will get myself over there and have a chat with them. Regarding diff offset on Ford axles, if you are going down the bespoke axle route there is nothing stopping you from having the axle case built offset so that the diff flange is on the centreline. You would have unequal length halfshafts but if these are to be custom items there is no difference. You would need to re-position the A-frame pick-up but that is not overly complicated. cheers. 12. Hi, I have an '85 LA which came to me with James Whiting disc braked Ital axle and LSD. The car had been tracked for a few years so didn't have a handbrake. I sorted this out by making a bracket for the single cable which attaches below the floor pan just rear of the gearbox tail and then fitted a Caterham bracket further back to take their standard Sierra caliper cable. It works and has passed the MoT. The rear calipers are standard Sierra and a bit sticky so I am thinking about replacing them. I fitted Hi-Spec fronts last winter and with alloy hubs reduced unsprung weight by about 12lb a side, so I may go for their alloy rear calipers. Regarding the grub screw adjusters for the rear bearings, I spoke to James about a fix for these. He has sorted this now, he has sourced some "spring shims" abit like a wavy washer. He put new bearings on for me and shimmed them against the hubs so they don't move anymore. I could be interested in a halfshaft upgrade as I am holding off any engine mods until I have strengthened up the rear end. I had been thinking about Ford or even going IRS. Phil B (7 at last)
  13. Jonboy, the part number for the CC spherical bearing and the Canley part is the same (ABWT10). For the vertical link Canley use the same part number as for CC trunnion type vertical link, but with a C suffix (306603C anf 306604C). Give them a call they are very helpful. Phil B (7 at last)
  14. Hi Jonboy, Try Canley Classics. They are a Triumph parts specialists, but they offer a conversion for Triumph owners to change to Caterham uprights. I am thinking about doing the same conversion as you, but I have a halfway house 85 chassis, dedion type top links with trunnion lower wishbone and CC wants £120+ each for wishbones. Anyway when I spoke to Canley they said that their uprights are from the same manufacturer as CC and they are £70 each. Try this link, http://www.canleyclassics.com/products.asp?article=catkit1.xml Phil B (7 at last)
  15. John, I got the last pair from James Whiting's shelf. If you are running an ital axle like me, the place to check out is Canley Classics. They are a Triumph parts specialist and they have commissioned a lot of bits including alloy hubs. Try link here, http://www.canleyclassics.com/products.asp?article=catkit3.xml This is a hub upgrade kit, 2 hubs, 2 new stub axles and heavy duty bearings, just like from CC. Alloy hub on its own to fit standard taper roller bearings is here, http://www.canleyclassics.com/products.asp?article=alloyhubs.xml If you are running Ford centres I think CC is the only option. 16. Hi, I fitted Hi-Spec 4 pots with standard diameter solid discs and M1144 pads to my Zetec powered car back in the spring (so option 1a). I also swapped the old iron hubs for alloy ones. I was using Princess iron 4 pot calipers with green stuff pads and 245mm (vitesse) drilled discs before. Braking feels good, the unsprung weight is down by about 12lbs per wheel due to the combined effect and no evidence of overheating in normal road use, or when I took it round the 'Ring in August. 17. Thanks for the suggestions, looking on E-bay seems like the mini gauge is calibrated over a different temp range, so it probably won't help solve the problem. I might give the gauge shop a call about refurbishing and calibrating my gauge. Happy blatting. Phil B (7 at last)
  18. BTT Anybody have a old spare temperature gauge?? Thanks Phil B (7 at last)
  19. BTT, I am open to offers if the initial price is putting people off. I would rather get rid of them as pairs or sets rather than 1 at a time. Phil Phil B (7 at last)
  20. I have a set of A032 in 185/60 x 13 and another set of A021 in 185/70 x 13. Both are good for a track day or 2, but now on limit for road use. Need to clear the shelves a bit, so how about £40 a set? To be collected from Horsham West Sussex. Phil B (7 at last)
  21. As per subject, I'm looking for a Smiths temperature gauge. I have a suspicion the one in my 85 car may be playing up after trying 2 new senders, so if anyone has something suitable gathering dust before I shell out £40 at Caerbont. Thanks Phil B (7 at last)
  22. Hal, Thanks for the feedback on the CR322s, I haven't spoken to anyone who uses them and so had assumed they were a bit wooden. Phil B (7 at last)
  23. Hi, as the title says, I am interested in 4off alloy wheels, 6 x 14 for Ital pcd. I have a set of 13s with A021 fitted, but am planning to do some european touring and wanted something which will give me a better choice of standard tyre than the CR322. Phil B (7 at last)
  24. Hi, You have BM, as it looks like the reply i sent last night may not have worked. Phil B (7 at last)
  25. Hi, Thanks for the offer, certainly happy to give it a go, let me know how much the postage will be? By the way, which electronic speedo did you choose in the end? Phil B (7 at last)
