  1. Still no notifications. Oh, also not receiving private message notifications either!
  2. I'm not receiving email notification from posts or comments on others posts. My settings appear to be correct. How will I know if anyone answers this post.
  3. Hi Simon, Do you still have your RiF areoscreen? Ta - Phil
  4. GN09 DVZ spotted by a friend on Monday.
  5. I'm thinking of changing my CC carbon Aeroscreen for an RiF version if I can source one that is in tip-top condition. Drilled for SPA mirrors not Racetech. Possible Px considered or straight cash.
  6. Nick. There is a specialist tool for fitting the poppers to the vinyl (£150) or you can use a cheap version which is a dolly and cup affair. See Soft Bits for Sevens video here I find that the sensible positioning of the top poppers is dead-centre of the strengthening bar, unfortunately, The rear is wider than the space available from wing to top of chassis. This means the rear has to fold against the wing a bit - does that make sense? Not that I've actually fitted mine yet so 'll happily stand corrected. Thundersport - I think I need to come over and have a chat and bring my existing tonneau which I want replicated in carbon effect vinyl.
  7. Exactly. Now I need you to make a custom tonneau. That was your cue to contact me saying "how can we help Phil?"
  8. Mucus72 - I'll post the results when I get round to fitting them. Should be soon....! I purchased from Caterham Cars. Mine are the carbon effect version, however, they do them in standard vinyl for both S3 and SV. Here
  9. Steve I'll try it with the standard ones first and see how it goes. SBFS have the long ones in stock so not a major problem. Phil
  10. Thanks Steve - Useful info. Yes, I have 4 sets of lift the dot poppers. Did you use extra long poppers? The ones I have been given appear quite short.
  11. The ideal position for the top mounting points appear to require me to drill through the strengthening strip. If so I assume I will require extra long popper caps? As I have a 'no sticks' boot cover it doesn't reach far enough forward for me to piggyback the rear fixing, therefore, I guess I'll have to drill a separate popper fixing about 25mm forward. Has anyone used the strap fixing to hold the bottom of the half door like the standard one used on the full sidescreens? Here If I plump for the poppers at the bottom are they straight into the Alu skin or do they pick up a chassis rail?
  12. Moved to its own thread.
  13. Yellow with clams. A280 Long Furlong, West Sussex 6:45pm today.
  14. Item added and prices reduced.
  15. I will be interested in your feedback Andreas.
  16. ChrisC, Is that via your phone then bluetooth?
  17. I have been looking at the latest ‘All Europe’ Sat Navs from Garmin and Tom Tom and none have an earphone jack. Being aerosceen it is impossible to hear the instructions, therefore, I was hoping to be able to make some sort of Bluetooth connection to an ear piece. Garmin say it can only be done on their Zūmo motorbike range; however, they are out of my price range. I’m not very techie so keep it simple.
  18. Soft bits for Sevens.
  19. Car back and all appears fine. Loads of room between pipe and chassis.
  20. Good news Nigel and commendable support from BaT and CC. Shame my factory built car has been back with CC for almost a month.....!
  21. I had an RIF screen for many years - great piece of kit. I glued rear wing piping rubber around the mating surface which cut the transfer of vibration considerably. The centre mirror mounting was screwed tight to the scuttle. I now have a CC version which uses poppers and it vibrates like bu**ery plus it sits proud of the scuttle.
  22. Thanks Mrp, Yes, all helps thanks. If I BM you with my home email can you send a photo?
  23. BTTT More data required please.
  24. To quote a fellow S20 owner.....Given our cars' more general heritage, is this a 270 issue too? Ah, so that's how you do it Nigel. Different car from that below.
