  1. Grant, Take all advice with a pinch of salt. My TBs have been set up once in three years and it has run faultlessly since then. I am having them checked at Premier Power shortly, but that's because my engine is there anyway. You can do it yourself, easily and in little time. I've certainly not been stuck in the garage so don't be put off.
  2. I'm going to have to miss Goodwood and Hethel I'm afraid, so I'll see everyone at Curbs, unless I see you elsewhere beforehand.
  3. The reports of low powered 150s might be true but not in my experience. Mine was 151.7 on the rollers at Northampton. Still, the old adage is that power sells cars, torque wins races...
  4. Will our Club and others be able to lobby the MSA to allow List C tyres in roadgoing classes do you know, or will it be a unilateral decision do you think? I appreciate it's all a bit up in the air.
  5. Hmm, tricky as we don't know what will be allowed next year. I wouldn't buy for a single year personally so I'm sticking with last years which still have life in them. Oli
  6. Ah, that's the guide I was thinking of. One for the tech wiki pages I think.
  7. Hi Mark, I've done this as well and the most awkward bit is removing the panels that cover where you need to put the captive nut channels. They are easy to fit as they just bolt down on top of the scuttle's bottom edge. Just make sure they line up properly through the side skin holes. Oli
  8. Mark, I think I have a guide from when I did it - I'll set myself a reminder to have a look later on. It's straightforward though, even for an electrical numpty. I drilled the scuttle for mine. If you use connectors to fit and remove the screen then you'd have to open up the hole in the side of the scuttle quite a lot to be able to accommodate the connector and the DRE cable. Oli :)

    CTEK failure

I settled for buying a new xs0.8 as I couldn't recall where I bought mine a few years ago. I think it is the button contact too. thanks all.
  10. Thanks both - engine oil is quite new so will save that if possible; gearbox is off for a rebuild and will be back on with a new clutch; no sump foam to change.
  11. Hi all, My engine and gearbox are coming out this weekend and I am pondering what useful jobs I can do whilst it is out. Cleaning the chassis rails and grot traps and adding dinitrol is on the list already, but is there anything else I can usefully do? Thanks, Oli

    CTEK failure

Thanks Andrew. Nothing at all from mine, perhaps 5 uses after it first played up. Let me know if you have further problems.
  13. Hi chaps, Apologies, I'm not getting thread reply notifications for some reason. Peter, yes that is what I have for sale. Smiffy, it's designed for a helmet, but I believe that many mount them in to ear defenders. Do a quick search for tips on that and you should find them. I've just taken some pictures of the kit if you want any. Cheers, Oli

    CTEK failure

My Ctek charger seems to have died, in that when I plug it in it shows power, but when I use the 'set' button to set a mode it refuses to budge from the standby position. The problem has been getting steadily worse. It used to switch mode immediately, then after 10 seconds, then a bit longer and now not at all. Does anyone have experience of a failed Ctek? Thanks, Oli
  15. Andy, Many thanks! Cadwell - I have no preference for the date but would love to do it this year if possible. Perhaps the Monday after Curborough is best for me. Donington - please yes! I've always wanted to drive there. Castle Combe would be good too. Cheers! Oli
  16. It's a bit early yet chaps. The form will be out soon enough though. Glad to hear you're raring to go as much as I am.
  17. Possibly me please Graham. I just need to check at work first.
  18. Hi Damo, Sorry for the delayed reply. It's boxed as the Active Rider System and contains the Active Plus main unit with one headset, but it's expandable to two. Also contains an extension lead, phone lead, music lead, power lead, fitting kit and manual. Oli
  19. Same problem John. I tried to remove it without any joy so put the plate back over it in the end. I had wanted to put a sticker plate on, but gave up. Why they use shiksa flex I do not know.
  20. Purchased from another member but never installed. Contains the Autocom unit, heasdset, music lead, power lead. £70 plus minimal postage. Oli
  21. As described - unused, available to anyone willing to pay the postage.
  22. 1 length of OMP rollcage or rollbar padding available for postage cost only. 2 ft length, used to be used on my petty strut, no damage at all. Thanks, Oli
