  12. Orangepeel, Thats not an unusual set up for a car of that vintage, my 88 supersprint had rear drums when I first got it. I did change them out for for a little used set of rear discs and calipers. Not too hard a job as i remember and im sure there is something on here about what is required. I used Green EBC pads on the front and standard pads on the back and the balance was ok for road and track use. Hope this helps
  13. If you type in caterham 7 minilite wheel you should find it
  14. Hi Stephen, It is 13 inch, not sure of the make. I used it on a super sprint for a few months and it fitted fine (Ford fitting and same offset as original wheels) so I think it should fit your car with no problems. This is also on Ebay, but no bids yet, so if you want it i am happy to remove it. Cheers Nick
  15. Hi Tony, yes I can post the trunnion gun, I will get a price at the weekend and let you know. I have put some of this on ebay as I initially did not get ny replies and the gaskets have a bid on them, so I think it is only proper to let the auction run. Cheers Nick
  16. Depending on how old the engine mounts are, I would consider changing them when its easy and not too expensive. Did mine with the engine still in, bit of a faff but not too bad. Nick
  17. For sale: Minilite style 13 inch wheel painted black with CR500 175/55/13 tyre. Ford fitment, tyre has at least 3mm tread. £50 Now £35 Halfords professional range, set of 1/4 deep drive sockets 4mm through to 11mm on rail. £10 Trunnion oil gun £10 Genuine ford oil filter for X flow £5 Two sets of X Flow exhaust manifold gaskets £ 5 each SOLD Collection from Fareham Hampshire or can post the smaller items. Cheers Nick
  18. Andy, I did fit a round FIA light to the center of the X bar after shamelessly plagiarising an R500 online posting on how to do it. However being OCD, I did change the fitting arrangement slightly. Happy to send you a photo if you would like. The CC wiring part did help massively and the wires are still there. However being small and round it does not affect (too badly) rear vision. I like it because you can still use a SBFS hood. Cheers Nick
  19. My thoughts, having just fitted an FIA rain light as a brake light. As it was designed for a race car (formula Ford??) which probably does not run an alternator, it is designed for 12 volts. If you run an alternator (14 ish volts) then a resistor needs to be fitted. There were two included in the kit. The above is subject to someone cleverer knowing more than me who may well correct me!! Nick
  20. Probably worth fitting a new starter ring if you are having to remove the engine. Last time I changed one (many many years ago) I used an oxy/acetylene torch to heat the ring up and some metal tongs to place it on the flywheel before it got too cold. Appreciating that getting access to oxy/acetylene is not easy these days might be worth paying a friendly old school garage to fit it for you. Just my thoughts
  21. Long shot I know, however I am after a set of 4 MB black wheel centres. Thanks
