  9. Chelspeed The r400s use 8.2/22 crossplies at the rear. The softer construction allows you to get the power down earlier in the corner. No good for sprinting as they are too hard The car in front is a Westfie1d
  10. Anders You have a 7.5" diff which is too big to fit a Caterham chassis. Also Caterhams use a Type A diff with plug in driveshafts with tripode joints, not the Lobro joints. The car in front is a Westfie1d

  12. Reliability. The nearlier VW/Skoda direct to plug ones are unreliable, my brother-in-law had 2 sets in 30,000 miles on his Octavia. The car in front is a Westfie1d
  13. I turn the alternator off through a simple switch on the dash, but a relay could be used. The alternator is geared down anyway which means the load is less and ensures it doesn't overrev (14,000 rpm max), but I would think it would absob easily 3 bhp. I think you may be limited on the wasted spark system at much over 8,000 rpm, so single coils would be a benefit. Mounting them in a cool area would also help (i.e. not on the cam cover) The car in front is a Westfie1d
