  1. Can anyone tell me when the forum closes and how the decisions on changes are then made, for instance is it only the comp sec or is there a group of people who decide?
  2. Stuart, I don't think it's about how one particular car performs or how one particular driver drives. This model of car has the potential to be a clear class leader in my opinion and therefore rewrites the class rules as far as performance is concerned. That said, if it's what the majority want then we have to accept that it will put financial pressure on the other competitors to aim for a similar level of power and the only winners in this will be those supplying expensive tuning parts.
  3. We're certainly getting some mixed messages here. If it ain't broke....., but allow R300k in! I can't think of anything more likely to break it.
  4. Totally agree, no limit gets my vote. Hey, it's what we go for!
  5. Simon, I'm sure you're right, but..... Class 2: Lotus or Caterham Sevens with an engine capacity of no more than 1800cc and a power output of no more than 155bhp Rover K series engines must retain induction via the standard production plenum. No cars may use engines fitted with direct to head throttle bodies. Tyres to be listed in the current MSA Technical Regulations Permitted Tyres (L) Lists 1A – radial tyres only. Maximum tyre width 205mm. Cars powered by non-car derived engines or equipped with sequential gearboxes are not allowed in this class. Just saying Cookie Monster, I'd like a class limit of 140 and only yellow and black cars eligible, but I doubt it'll happen
  6. Shame.......... less runs, trash your tyres and the finishing order is highly unlikely to change. The biggest problem is that if it's a two lapper, then the National is deleted from the counting events for the championship so even less people will be turning up. Why would anyone want to make it a two lapper ??? Haven't replied to Matthew yet, although the double lap was my initial thought until I read Stuart's post. Why is it that a two lapper would disallow it from the championship and if that was the case nobody would go, would they? I think I'm missing something here.
  7. Is it correct that DTHTBs are not allowed in class 2 but are allowed in class3? Why would this be the case if both classes have a limit of 155 bhp? In my ideal world the class limits would more naturally follow the cars as produced by Caterham, past and present. There has obviously been considerable 'power creep' in the classes over the years, which we can see again this year with the R300k trying to 'downsize' itself into class 2/3. 125, 150, 180, 210, and the rest, would be my preferred limits which I think would encourage more people with stock cars to have a go without feeling hopelessly outclassed.
  8. but let's hope your Welshman is correct Gill. I'm camping from Thursday night, but as I won't get there until late I'm not sure about entry to the circuit, so may be the local layby for me!
  9. ENTRY PASSES No tickets and vehicle passes are required and entry is free until 10 am (Saturday) and 9.30 am (Sunday). Departure from the Circuit during the events requires tickets for re-entry, obtainable from the Circuit’s gate staff – after these times a charge will be made for entry.
