Good close competition in Class 1 again yesterday and a good win and new Class record by Paul Boston. It is competitive, but just to be clear I am not thinking of a bit of cosmetic surgery over the winter break and entering next year as Clarissa !

Thanks Oli, Geoff. Very close competition in class 1 on Sunday and a good result with a class win and my first class record. Paul, me, Richard and Rob were all quicker at different parts of the course in our final runs. It was a bit strange without individual L7C class awards and not sure if my class record will be recognised by Loton due to the mix up.

Last year we had a designated parking area in the paddock by the start line. Do we have the same arrangement this year ?

Have details / entry forms for the August Marshalls sprint been sent out ?

As a Novice last year I completed in 9 events and had to prioritise events. As competing at all venues were new to me i thought that the first years competition would be learning the tracks and whether the next corner is left or right and then in the second year hope to concentrate on the driving side. There was talk last year of Epynt being dropped so for me there were other venues to invest my time. This year i have other commitments so can not make it anyway. I can not comment on Epynt as a venue or event but would like to compete there and the sat and sun competition appeals to me. I have only competed for one year but there seem to be quite a number of changes from my first year with Hethel and Goodwood new, Wiscombe has gone, Blyton 2 lap gone and talk of changes. Do we have a commitment to stay at different venues for a number of years or a list of at risk venues. Some events will always be more popular, I don't know what the criteia or process is for the L7Club to compete at different venues, whether we estimate numbers and are letting the organising Club down by a low entry list or are we simply being asked to go.

Looking for some feedback / recommendation for the HiSpec 232mm Ultralite 4 calipers with Standard solid discs at the front (Mintex M1144 pads) with standard rear calipers /pads. Currently have standard front calipers with M1144 and standard rear calipers/pads and l am looking at changing the front calipers. I have read historical threads about rattling pads, dust covers, flexing but does anyone have any recent experience of this set up they could share ?

Thanks Chris/ Roger, i haven't been to Hethel before, i am sure it will make more sense when at the circuit. I see there is no video filming allowed on the event, hence the lack of you tube videos of sprints there.

Please can someone confirm the sprint layout course ? The notes in the L7C competitors area says its 1.5 laps. The regs say 1 lap of approx 2.2 miles. The regs then state 2 practice runs, but then say 1 practice run of 2.1/3 laps and three timed runs of 1.1/3 laps. Borough 19 motor club website shows a plan of the course of approx 3/4 of the track.

As there are 20 of us and only 4 allowed on track at a time and it takes me a while to get up to speed, and it might be raining in the morning and dry in the afternoon and......blah blah, i think i would keep with the same layout. Happy to go with the flow though
