  3. all was very bizarre with the wiring-but its all sorted now. Thanks for your help. :-)
  4. I am half way through doing this. I had two fog lightd and two reversing lights. I am converting the left fog light into a reversing light. I have removed the right hand reversing light and assume I need to connect the two wires together to continue the circuit round the car. I believe the wire runs to the right light, then on to the left? I have removed the left light, and popped the wires back through the wing and connected to the old fog light wires. The problem I faced last night at about 10pm was the reverse light staying on permanently. Do I assume from reading this post that I have the two wires the wrong way round? The post above suggests no earth is required, yet my existing fog lights do have a single black wire which earths to the securing bolt. It also has one other wire (reddy/brown colour?) which I have assumed is the live. Any help would be gratefully appreciated - having a real thick moment and not had the time to experiment yet. (thats tonights fun) K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport

  7. Hi First of all - Thanks Paul, much appreicated. (see separate email) In terms of the wheels - Paul is absolutely correct and I am interested. Please can you confirm what vehicle they were on, i.e. will they fit my 94 dedion, as I believe there is a difference between csr and dedion. Please can you email me some photos also? Cheers Mark K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
  8. Paul A - I grew up in Norwich and moved to Dereham when I was working here a few years ago. My fiancee's father worked at the Northgate school for many years (Mr Varley) - he seems to have taught everyone some I am sure you know him! Do you still live in the region? Good luck with the wheels. Cheers Mark K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport

Good luck with the wheels. If anyone hears of any antracite 15inch (10 spoke) I am interested! Cheers Mark K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport

  13. I am looking to change the windscreen from the ali to the black on my 94 K series. My existing ali screen is ok with just a few chips, just looking a little tired and I have just got black stanchions fitted. I have now sorted the 15inch Anthracite wheels, so looking for the screen to finish the look (well for a few weeks anyway!!) 14. Excellent tyre choice. *thumbup* I had the first proper use out of mine at Cadwell on Monday and they were superb. I was running 18 on the front and 16 on the rear and all felt good. K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
  15. Cheers Tweeky. Unfortunately blatmail is still down at the mo, so if Oilyhands reads this perhaps you can help? Gingerbread man - From what i've read on here the 52mm is supposed to make some difference and a relatively cheap upgrade. There is only about £25 between the two from what I have found so far. Thanks, Mark K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport Edited by - medonaldson on 29 Apr 2009 20:09:39 Edited by - medonaldson on 29 Apr 2009 20:09:55
  16. Following persistant issues at Cadwells track day on Monday with the throttle holding open (not to mention the rain!!) 😳, Ive narrowed it down that the TB needs replacing. I've decided to go for the 52mm as it seems like the ideal time to upgrade but am searching around for the best price. I have found two sites so far listed below. I cannot tell if the ebay part is exactly the same - anyone any ideas or suggestions? EBay PTP link The PTP site lists Caterham specifically but I assume its the same part 🤔 Any help gratefully received. Thanks, Mark K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
  17. Hi, Second dibs on these please. I will need to check compatability as Im running 14inch on my '94 K series. Coincidentally, have been looking at these wheels tonight on CC site. Please let me know if first dibs falls through. Cheers, Mark K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
  18. Hi, Ive got a 1.4K series on a '94 plate. I noticed that the pedal felt odd the other week and on inspection tonight can see that the cable now has an extra couple of inches of play in it so need to replace. The CC site shows the complete unit for £32.78, but I am assuming you can simply replace just the cable? Are you suggesting that it can be replaced with a motorcycle cable? Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks, Mark K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
  19. Thanks to everyone who has responded. I will be getting quotes for some Mintex 1144s tomorrow. I did get excited that there were some Pagids on ebay tonight, but they turned out to be the RS4-4. I do not know what the current fitment is (Girling?) I will see how much difference they make and go from there. Took the seven out for a quick blat earlier round Norfolk but had to stop and take my life into my own hands driving home with the hood up on the R444's (not as bad as I thought they would be!!) Cheers, Mark. K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
  20. Cagey H - Thanks for the info - I presume I will need to change the calipers etc or will the mintex work straight off my existing. I could do with pricing up a caliper change also I guess. Nickh7 - Unfortunately no price on the James Whiting website - will ring next week, (do you have any ideas rough £'s) Rgrigsby - I am (newly) running toyo R777's allround. I had them fitted in September, but have only done a few laps at snetterton on them so far and a bit of road driving. Angus & tessa - thanks for reinforcing the Alcon kit - will probably steer clear of the Pagid ones given the prices, and that mine isn't the fastest seven out there!!
  21. Hi all I have read many many threads on here without me reaching a conclusion. In essence I have a '94 K series supersport which I believe has the standard brakes fitted (apparently Triumph Herald/Spitfire front pads and discs and I think Ford rears. The brakes are and have never been great. I do track the car a few times a year and am looking for an upgrade. I do not really want to spend c£600 on the complete caterham upgrade, I would rather spend say half that and still end up with a decent set of brakes. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Mnay thanks, Mark. K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
  22. Thanks Jason, Somebody mentioned gel coating them to me, I wasn't sure if they needed a specific primer or not. I have a colour match in terms of the final glossy finish, but obviously this is dependent upon a good base. Cheers K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
  23. I have two new cycle wings to spray up (friend has offered to do them as he has the gear and experience), however he was under the impression they would have some form of base coat. They are raw fibreglass and I believe the primer needed is some form of flexible stuff? Does anyone have any confirmation of the best approach to spraying on fibreglass or any tips 🤔 Thanks, Mark. K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
  24. Thanks Geof A great day, well organised and you even managed to make the sunshine last! Thanks again Mark K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
  25. Hi Geof, I have not received a confirmation email from you, however assume I am in given the cheque has been cashed! Please can you resend details through please. Thanks Fingers crossed for a dry day!! Mark K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
