  1. I was looking to do this project as well. I'm interested in the connector you would use on the new LED lead to connect to this CC loom....anyone know where you can get suitable male or female connectors (?) to connect?
  2. Thank-you for all your suggestions I will digest and consider my next move. Just to add to this technical blog - A fellow 7 owner at work told me he had an identical problem and he attributed it to the max. mark on the square header tank being too high for the 'K' series set-up and this leading to an over-pressurised system and loss through pressurised vapour leaking through the cap. The loss self-stabilised when the coolant reached the seam moulding level and never went any further down. Alastair
  3. I have just topped up the coolant with about 200ml of water to raise it to the max level marker in about 500 road miles. The engine was not running when I topped up. I have no overheating problems or milky oil etc. or any damp patches in the garage, everything seems to be OK. Just wondered if this topping-up amount is normal and nothing to worry about? It's the 2nd time I've done this. 1.6K roadsport, 1999 car, with heater. I have not broken into the coolant system to cause any airtraps etc. Alastair
  4. Yes.....we met at Stanton Service Station. I was taking my son out for a short run.....his photo is in 'Low Flying - the fridge door' this month........proud father moment
  5. Spotted today from my Yellow Roadsport. You guys were both having fun leaving the Coventry Road (B4114) lights heading to Narborough and eventually Fosse Park, in a manner that only a 7 could do
  6. I've been looking to no avail too. I think the BMW side repeaters from a E46 will fit nicely and look good too, but require some carving out of the front wings and I have yet to figure out if I can buy a universal 501 bulb holder which will fit the BMW side repeater. This is on my 'if i find some time' job list, but if I get some good results I will post them here. Any E46 BMW owners who fancy popping their side repeaters out and taking some pictures of the bulb holder would be much appreciated.
  7. I found using a basic scissor jack under the de-dion tube, to take the weight and keep in the right position, before removing the lower shock absorber useful to avoid cross-threading the lower bolt when refitting into the de-dion tube (a known horror story). I did this for each side in turn. Also the powder coaters may have sprayed excess stuff into your lower mounting threads (they did with mine) and I had to clean them through with a tap, before the bolt would fit easily. Worth running it through to check before you install the bar in the car!
  8. I have a yellow nearside rear wing removed for cosmetic reasons, with small dings caused by road debris (3 places, biggest about 10mm) on outside rim, otherwise clean and sound condition. Has stainless steel protector fitted. Came off 1999 roadsport. I had a posting on here a few weeks ago, but no pull. Will take £15. I am based in Leicester and don't know postage costs....would prefer collection, I am 10 mins from Caterham Midlands.
  9. Or you could go back to CC and ask for SF7/16X1.3/4 @ £0.24 each, which is the top rail bolt for Luke harnesses! . If they sell the bolt it seems pretty silly why they don't sell the spacer as well. For the bottom lap belts, why not use the bolts that were securing your inertia reel? So, hopefully only some washers/nuts/crimp washer and that darn spacer thing to get.
  10. Bacon Butty, Let me know if your first bidder contacted you in the last 24 hours . Jingers - Kind offer, thanks. I'll see what BB says, if I'm successful I'll probably pop over myself..........only about 40miles.
  11. Sounds good. I'll wait to see what happens. YHM from me and can you reply to that with status.
  12. Second dibs on the FIA roll bar? I've just posted a wanted in that forum. Assume it would fit a '99 de-dion car? How would you describe the condition?
