    I need to glue some carbon sheets together, only problem is that they will be on the end of some K+K filters hence into contact with fuel mist. Is there an adhesive that is resistant to petrol? Thanks, John.

    I neer to make up some filter covers and have access to a CAM cutter which has a tungsten carbide cutter. Will the carbon fibre blunt the tool? It is a 3mm slot drill that will need to travel through 400mm in length of .5 mm carbon sheet. Thanks, John.

    Sounds like a cable siezed in outer housing not clutch itself? Sticking plate, I had this problem many years ago with an MG midget that I was rebuilding. Nothing would shift it untill I took out the starter motor and put a paint stripper gun on to the flywheel (eletrical one). I left this for about half an hour the heat nad expansion broke the seal between the plate and flywheel, hey presto came unstuck straight away. Saves dragging the car down the road and jamming into gear. Hope this helps. Regards John.

    My megane has lost both sides of dipped beam. The bulbs are ok, as is the fuse. Is there any where else that I should be looking? Regards John.

    I've searched through the archives and still remain confused about the ratio of my ford axle. Any knowlegable people with the standard ratio? 3.9 or 3.92 etc? Would there be a mark on the diff case or is it a chalk and count case? Many thanks, John.

    Thanks for the reply Oily. My current problem is that when the two ram pipes are inside the filter there is little space for the air to pass from the side of the filter round to the front of the pipe. If I cut some of the curve away will it make much difference to the turbulence effect? I am currentky thinking of modifying the end plates of the filter to accept some Pipercross foam to allow a flow of air through it.

    I have a 2L zetec with K and N filters. The trumpets I want to fit have a large radius at the intake end ( as most do ). This would seem to restrict the air flow as the air needs to come around from the sides of the filter ( the K and N has a plate on the end ). If I machined off some of the radius would tihs have a detrimental effect on the flow? Regards, John.

    I am looking at purchasing secondhand speedo and rev counters as my old set up is not compatible with the new one. Has anyone had experience of having new dial covers fitted by speedy cables? Any comments on service, turnaround and price? Regards John.

    One of my drums on my live axle (ford) has a slight amount of ovality that you can feel when braking. Is it common practise to skim them, and does anyone know what I should be looking at in terms of price. Many thanks, John.

    I put a ford axle on my caterham a few years ago and had the pcd of the drive shafts changed to Ital pcd 3.75" to save changong the wheels. I have just come across a disc brake conversion for a ford axle. Is there a disc that has an Ital pcd? I would not be to happy about re drilling the discs from ford to ital pcd or would this option be ok Many thanks, John.

    I have a lumenition ecu with a zetec wasted spark coil set up. The problem is that the original tacho uses 3 wires, one of which would have been on the - side of the coil to trigger it. The new setup has a Lumenition 460 ecu with two ignition amplifiers and the original zetec coil. The lumenition has a tacho take off but this is a positive feed. I seem to be lost with what to do , is it a case of purchasing a different tacho or is there a way around this? Some one must have come across this before? Regards, John.
