  1. I think there is a place up the A5 north of Towcester "Johns Motors"? There also is/used to be a chap in Buckingham (Ring Road Garage / Performance cars of Buckingham?), ex F1 mechanic and Caterham owner. I have mine done at Chalky Whites in Milton Keynes.
  2. Paul I have one from the Luminetion Competition system (has a round black connector) - just fitted megajolt so dizzy surplus to requirements 😬 Let me know if it is what you are after. Jonathan
  3. Alistar If the coil pack is a 1st gen one , HT leads can be got from triggerwheels. If its not, I don't know! The problem with buying from halfords is that they can only search for make/model of car, on my car the coil pack is a lot further from the engine that it would be normally. You will be able to get spacers for the trigger wheel at triggerwheels.com Jonathan
  4. You can buy the Megajolt box from here: www.autosportlabs.com technical info/forum/maps etc here: www.autosportlabs.net If you buy direct from the USA you will have to pay UK VAT and a parcel force "handling charge". I bought the EDIS bits from ebay, but triggerwheels are probably better, especially for HT leads - a bit difficult in Halfords try to find leads for a Caterham with Megajolt fitted The weber TPS and trigger wheels kits are very good, if a little pricey. Easy enough to fit with the engine in the car. If you blatmail me I can send you some pictures. Jonathan
  5. Fit Megajolt. My xflow is running alot better now, cost me approx £250 but I did buy a weber TPS and Trigger wheel. Megajolt box approx £70
  6. Box you need is a "Lucas 6DA Wiper control" - well thats what is on my 1992 Live axle car. Should just plug in to existing loom.
  7. A chap in Milton Keynes had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, turned out to be short to ground on reversing light switch - I think wire had rubbed against chassis.

Have got the wiring diagrams from a 1992 xflow engine live axle car, if its any use to you. Drop me a mail if you want me to scan it and mail it. Jonathan
  9. Have just fitted Megajolt to my 1700 xflow. Running ok but want to get it checked properly - cheaper than a new engine 😬 Only place I know of is Racing Developments (plus club members get a 10% discount ) I have spoken to them and they seem to be willing to tune a DIY system. Anyone used them before?
  10. Hi Ian Might be worth checking if the Auxillary Venturi in carb is loose - I think I read that if it is loose fuel can get behind and leak out? Jonathan
  11. Have just ordered a kit direct from America - only cost £38+p&p (£51 total) Link to website http://www.autosportlabs.org/index.php
  12. I am looking at fitting a Megajolt ignition system to my xflow. I have found many sites on where to get the bits that attach to it (EDIS-4, trigger disc etc) but cannot find any where to buy the Megajolt kit. Can any body help?
  13. Had the same problem with my car last year, i think it happened when the DVLA changed over to their new computerised MOT system. Might get a few questions if you want to sell it! The computer system also reckons a 7 should have power-assisted brakes and traction control - so mine technically fails!
