  1. Westfalia VW Tiguan detachable tow hitch , just the bit with the ball on(2010ish) Anyone got one that came with their car that they don't use / need ?
  2. Steve, Had the same problem 2 years ago. Battery fully charged and on a conditioner. Checked it with a battery meter from the local garage that showed it was not quite 100 per cent. New battery and it started first time. It was a two year old Banner. Been fine ever since.
  3. April ??? Won't we all be on leaves and yogurt by then
  4. Hi Simon, Thanks for the offer. Length of the webbing on mine from the harness clip to the loose ends are 100cm. Regards, John
  5. Aero, Mine are on the S3 leather seats, the straps lie on the top, i.e. I sit on them but only about half inch of webbing left for adjustment. They are fitted at the back of the seat through bosses, spacers and floor. All CC parts.
  6. Looking for approx 2 foot x 50mm old bit of harness webbing to extend the crotch straps on the 6 point harness. I have to have the seat forward which makes it a tad tight to say the least 😳 I shall await the pxxs taking that follows!!
  7. Need to extend the crotch straps on 6 point harness. Just a tad tight to say the least 😳 Anyone got any old stuff lying around, 50mm width x approx 2 foot?
  8. Have a word with Redline, they supplied me with the correct cap heads(7/16) for the imperial roll cage. I did have to have the four bolts cut down (to 17mm of thread) though as they were too long and met in the middle Problem I then had was that the two bolts on the outside of the car at the front mounting impinged on the doors, half doors and tonneau fitting properly. Eventually bought some(very expensive) button head bolts that now allow everything to close again!
  9. Always travel with extra Security, part of my contract
  10. Graham, Just to add, my car runs with a Powerspeed 4>2>1 exhaust system.
  11. Graham, Happy to help. I don't think the immobiliser will be an issue as it does not recognise the ECU, that bit has been deleted or turned off in the ECU. When you check with Mark at Z&F ask if you will need to disconnect your immobiliser for the test. John
  12. Hi Richard, When Mark at Z&F altered my ECU it came back with the immobiliser not working. I queried this and Mark said that it would make restarting easier in competition should the engine stall in a spin etc.(which it has!) Based on that will the ECU be OK without the immobiliser stuff......don't want to strip too much off the car as it never seems to go back as easily as coming off!
  13. Graham / Matt Bit of a long trek for me, also likely to be snowed in by then which happens every year now, so no chance of moving the trailer. Mine is a standard 1800 K series 140 BHP EU3 but with Z & F tuning. Graham, as yours is the same apart from the Z&F (I think) I could take my ECU off and send it to you. (As long as you don't send me yours back 😬) You could then test with your ECU and then replace with mine test again and see if there is any difference! Alternatively, Mark at Z&F may have one you could borrow. John B

  17. Last job of the season was to take my Sprint Numbers off the bonnet.....simples. Except it has taken a load of yellow paint off as well So the adhesive from "Race Number.co.uk" is far too strong or the paint from Caterham is rubbish, even after nine years of curing!!! Anyone else had similar problems? The bonnet now needs a respray. Does anyone know the colour code for "Caterham Yellow" Bit worrying for next year when I put the new numbers on

    Thanks

I would just like to say a big "thank you" to all involved with the sprint championships ,for your help and advice this year. I am looking forward to next year when I hope to put more of the advice into practice. A great bunch of people all with a great sense of humour.....someone even left a map of Anglesey on my bonnet to help me find my way around the international circuit...every little helps!! Have a good winter and thanks again
