Makes a solution of vinegar and baking soda, leave end dipped in it for 20 mins and hey presto alteratively use the black domestos Max toilet cleaner which is also good for getting the tarnish off exhausts prior to polishing

8 too would say Northampton Motorsport, however in the Birmingham area I would also recommend Alton automotive. Particularly for tuning on Webber carbs. They looked after several of my race cars. if he has not retired yet then Roger is your man

I made some measurements and then Oxted modified the seat base with a slot for the harness to pass through. Very neat, comes through further back than that image above though.

Thanks for the feedback all, good they wrap to the edges, do they come higher up the wing than standard protectors?

So I am fed up waiting on Classic Carbon for wrap around guards since last October. So considering contracting Willwoods but just looking for insight on the relevant coverage of the two types. Do they both come up a similar distance up the wing and fully wrap to the edges? any information appreciated.

not much help Alan but best to use a brake pipe spanner rather than an open ended one if your not already. You can get a better purchase that way. I have one that’s probably the right size in case you don’t have one or are not using one.

Are there any images of the style of these brackets? I am after some lower brackets to replace the old hockey sticks but looking for the same sort of shape with less lift. -

Giles, i would use Redline MTL it’s a 75W80 GL-4 oil. Used it for 20 years and was recommended to me by Phil at Road and Race. for the type9 the GL-4 type oil is key

Mmm, I have a lightened flywheel. Standard vx cover and helix friction plate. No washers and no problems. Seems a right bodge putting washers in.

Muck off bike protect is excellent, cleans, refreshes and protects an is made to be used on carbon fibre.

It can look nice and if you fancy it give it ago. There are several sevens that have done this. Both I have seen were on 15” anthracite, one had a red stripe the other lime green. Looked great.

Assume you are referring to the VX coil pack Roger rather than a traditional coil with king lead?

No visible part number. Yes I could remove and measure but prefer not to as it is nicely sealed and these things tend to leak normally. VDO advise it is 10 to 180 full

Can confirm the resistance readings for a vdo fuel sender unit please? I have changed to new style gauges but need to have it calibrated as it currently does not match either the vdo or caebont sender units. I think it is 10ohms empty 180 full?? Thanks

As Giles says lots in the archive, but add to the list evostick metal weld, the phone numbers for redline and burton (they will overnight parts) a good breakdown cover and a speaking language converter so you can get to and talk to a local motor factor :-). If a sigma uses one a clutch cable.

Ah for some reason I thought you meant the arb mounting clamps not the drop links. I have seen these before and I may have a pair somewhere. I replaced mine with an alloy version and the links simply being two rose joints and link piece.

I know what you mean, I have the same design. They are very simple, not very different to rack mounts. I was thinking of getting some new ones as mine are out of round. Perhaps we can spec some up and get them made?
