  1. How did you dig that out? I deleted those comments early in the evening!

Anyway I was enquiring on behalf of a friend, who later informed me he wasn't interested, so don't worry.

BTW, the techie bit above is generic as they made these in Helical and Dog. Dog engagement is noisier than Helical, both will be quick change though. Also I think you should measure the first motion input shaft length, its quite important to ANY buyer!

FYI, I have a G60, its a superb gearbox. good luck with the sale.

  2. Yep as Charles says the AM number is on round turret next to roll bar mount. Let me know, I bet it's near mine.

Standard bottom wishbones will fit an anti-dive chassis but your need to bend them to get the bolts through the bushes and into the chassis mounts. No one makes specific bottom wishbones for the anti-dive chassis, they do NOT exist. However, Arch will modify a standard set incorporating rod ends at the rear mounts so they fit nicely and reduce stiction.

You don't need to do this if your not looking for performance but the geometry of the anti-dive chassis requires bespoke arrangement if you do.

I do not know why CC did not instruct Arch to manufacture specific wishbones for this chassis, it is necessary if your like me and looking for performance, it's not just for ease of fitment!

  3. Yes that's right, no reason not to go for it at all, I get mine round the circuit pretty well. Just remember if you want a planted front end you will need to fabricate the bottom rear wishbone joints. Let me know the AM number, be interested to see how close it is to mine.

  4. I have an early to mid 96 Anti-dive chassis, under braking there is a massive difference between one and without. I did a bit of research, mainly because the front geometry was carp, after speaking to ARCH I found out quite a lot. It was an experiment that Caterham wanted, it didn't last long for whatever their reasons were, but they were only around during 96, so a 93 doesn't make sense at all. Not sure on total numbers made but it isn't three figures.

Mine has handbrake in tunnel, shares top wishbone damper mount which utilises the 1/2" bolt and has removable engine bay braces. The rear bottom wishbone pickups are approximately 20mm lower than the front, this affects the bolt angle, thus standard wishbones do not fit, yes they do not fit. As a result it is impossible for normal standard CC wishbones to fit, the only way is to bend down the rear section of the bone so it aligns, and that is what CC did.

In my case I fitted rod ends on the rear of standard bones and it works beautifully now. But trust me under braking it's very very different.

If you want any more information PM me

  5. Hi, I have sold my Roadsport cage so now have the associated Tonneau cover for sale as it only suits the Roadsport type cage.

The Tonneau has pockets for Tillet seats, it has cut outs for front side bars and zip down the middle. In good original condition no petty strutt hole.

  6. I am intrigued as to why Poly bushes are not ideal or a positive scenario? Would you please elaborate chaps as I race my car with them now for 4 seasons as does my previous SLR and other fast Caterhams and have not witnessed or heard of any issues whatsoever, but I do hear positive remarks from pleased customers? I do admit they need maintenance probably twice during a race season which if your a lazy bustard and cannot be bothered then they are not for you. But there is no argument whatsoever that they enhance my suspension and compliment my Quantum dampers, so find your negative comments strange?
