  3. Front cycle wings probably not worth keeping then, do you think they hold any value with a copy of cracks in *confused*

Nose cone probably worth repairing, it's only got a crack in the bottom number plate area, even if I paint it.

  4. I would of thought they should be vapour sealed just like a double glazing panel, but suppose nothing last forever.

Suspect the dash would have to be re-sealed by Stack as a vacuum should be created or maybe a slight charge of nitrogen inserted prior to sealant. Anyway, thanks I shall report when sorted *wavey*

  5. My caterham has widetrack, Bilstein dampers and 1.9 diameter springs. The springs have a green mark top and bottom, this obviously represents a poundage.

Does anyone know what that would be *confused*

    thanks for help

  6. My Caterham recently acquired comes with a Stack ST8100.

I am not totally sure of it's capabilities, but it has lap timer as it comes with a beacon and infrared sensor. Also a laterial acceleration sensor.

Apart from normal pressure and temperature displays, could it have any other functions that I am not aware of *confused*

Also, it comes with an interface ST890, would this be a RS232 fitting *confused* If so, I presume I need an old type laptop *confused*

Internally, the screen suffers from condensation, is there a simple solution to curing this *confused*

And finally, the tacho movement is not what I would call smooth, it is a bit nothcy, I presume this would need to go back to the factory for a service *confused*

  7. Brilliant Stu *thumbup* I thought along those lines *wink*

    Another question *redface*

There are areas where it looks like a stain has occurred as it has gone a yellow green colour, it's obvious rainwater ingress within fibres so how would I get that out *confused*

  8. Sorry, new to all this.

Got myself a Caterham, some of the bodywork is carbon fibre which is not lacquered, thus dull. Also, there are a few cracks here and there ☹️

Is it possible to repair these cracks *confused* And does anyone know of anywhere around SW London that could do this as well as lacquer them *confused*

  9. So what does the letter 'C' refer to, as below.

    SDKRDCLRDV

The chart states 'complete knocked down'

But what does that mean *confused* Could it mean a special order for a factory built car *confused*

    Thanks *thumbup*

  10. I will have a pair of split rims for sale soon, they are being refurbished at the moment.

    13" X 8" Ford 108mm PCD

    Image three piece ET+15

    £300.00

    Any good

  11. Can you tell from a chassis number it's origin *confused*

As I believe Caterham have made various S3 models such as Classic, Roadsport, Supersport, HPE, Superlight and R. I am trying to establish the authenticity of a car *thumbup*

    Thanks *wink*

  12. Thanks for the many messages to date. Perhaps I should state that I am after a track orientated car, even one not road registered, damaged, blown engine etc.
