  1. Hi Geoff - Please put me down for Brands GP in May aswell. Really enjoyed it last year, need to ensure I grab some instruction this year. cheers Dave
  2. Potentially James... My car doesn't have a rollcage, but as an ex-racer I assume it once did and therefore has mounting points. From your description, the concern I would have is would it fit a car with a lowered floor, as this would obscure the chassis beam which runs below the driver's knees.
  3. Last Saturday afternoon, in the dusk, along the lower road heading towards Winnersh.
  4. I've done this fairly recently, and I am pleased with the results. The repeaters I used were sourced from eBay, I believe they come from Fiat Coupes and Ferrari F40s - guess which are easier to source Here is an example As for tips - I wired mine by removing the wiring from the front wing and routing it into the headlight, this is quite a squeeze given the amount of wiring going through the hollow bolt anyway. I think they look good and definitely help me know when the indicators have been left on. Happy to provide photos and answer questions if you have them.
  5. eBay came to nothing - £30 ONO + P&P

    Turbo Hayabusa

No experience - but it could be worth seeking input from Dax Rush owners, the turbo'd Hayabusa seemed a popular engine choice for them, more so than Caterhams. I would have thought the Dax Rush was similar enough to provide the same lessons learnt.
  7. I purchased these ages ago, and then realised they were for 15" wheels rather than my 13" when I came to get them painted. One is carbon, the other fibreglass, but the same shape, and will look the same once you have sprayed them. Never been fitted, so no holes or adhesive marks. On eBay
  8. Spotted a lone blatter Sunday lunchtime, approaching the M4 at J12 from Pangbourne/ Theale.
  9. Did you get them in the end?
  10. Thats bizzare. I sold these wheels on ebay only this week, and the chap has listed them using my photo and wording before he has received them.. Completed ebay listing Seems like a lot of effort to make £15? Edited by - davedlr on 18 Nov 2011 09:39:25
  11. They are run by Motorsport Events at the airfield by Dalton Barracks.
  12. That was me GJT - on my way to a greasy track day at Abingdon.
  13. The harness was from the passenger side of my car. It's got the typical push button style of buckle. Link to eBay
  14. Spotted you in a line of traffic - I was in the yellow aero'd 7 heading towards Burghfield
  15. I do like the look of this - I don't think you could use it on a UK trackday though - organisers seem to stipulate mechanical mounts for cameras these days, and I've not seen a mechanical mount that can take a phone?
  16. Sounds interesting Rhett - I've thought of doing the rear panel in CF myself in the past - but was never sure what the fitting process would be like. Have you got the panel from MOG?
  17. Thanks both - I'll get out in the garage tonight and get my hands dirty
  18. I've been sorting out the rear brakes on my car by replacing the brake shoes, which on my English axled car uses the 9" drum. What I cannot work out is where to adjust the shoes inwards so that I can fit the drum back on, and if I need to re-adjust the handbrake mechansim inside the drum?
  19. I could be interested in the 3rd set of wheels for my Forester if you want to split them?
  20. I'd say its pointing to the CR500s - presumably they are similar £s to the Michelin's above?
  21. Due to a comedy of double bookings, broken bones and general bloke-ish-ness, my friend has 4x tickets for the Lee Evans show at Wembley this Thursday. Face value for the tickets was £33 each, he is willing to give them up for £20 a ticket if any POBC want them. Collection from Farnborough, or potentially Godalming or Canary Wharf depending on the day.
  22. Never tried them on a 7 myself - but what about Yoko A539s?
  23. Pete - depending on the state of the bodywork I think you will be looking at 11-12.5 for your car - IMHO
  24. 2nd for rubber wellnuts - no eqivalent rivnut tool required to insert them. Easy to obtain from ebay or motorbike shops - I think they use them for attaching farings (sp?)
  25. I've toyed with this idea as well - changing the VX2.0 in my live axle car to a Busa. I know the James Whiting fireblades were live axled - has anyone built a busa powered live axle car?
