On Monday 30th outside the Court Hotel in St Aubin, a dark blue/grey (sorry can,t remember a bit pi55ed) Roadsport at about 6.30 pm. Lovely day for it. 😬 This one goes up to 11
  3. I am a brooklands fan, but, and it's a big but, on Thursday I took the car to Swansea for the webers to be lovingly twiddled. As it was light drizzle I debated about a beanie hat + wileys or a helmet. After filling up I put the helmet on (I did have to do a days work after all.) After 5 miles a stone about golf ball sized shot through the central reservation from the oncoming traffic and clouted the helmet just on jaw line. It was like being hit with a hammer. Looking at the helmet there is a half inch gouge on that spot. Without it it would have been a broken jaw or one of those rather exposed arteries severed. It shook me a lot (for about 2 miles anyway). However aeros are the way, I was just (un) lucky. This one goes up to 11
  4. I have done both. The Brooklands has made the car a hoot instead of a laugh and with clamshell wings it looks great. Swapping to A021s was the best investment I have made on the car though as it handles and grips like it should (I had Goodyear Eagles on before). Brooklands for show, tyres for dough - to coin a phrase. 😬 This one goes up to 11
  5. You'll never break the speed limit then 😬
  6. How about that very short thread on oil a while back. Enough to fill a whole year of LF, then you could spend the rest of the time in the pub 😬 This one goes up to 11
  7. I would think that as it is the general dampness that gets into the gauge that causes the misting, a cooler LED will eliminate the immediate misting as the heat won't vaporise it from the bulb. However it also won't 'dry' the inside of the gauge either after being on a long time as tends to happen. Blue LEDs for me BTW, or Red, doesn't disturb the night vision. Now how about pink?...... 8. Or you can use your ears to set the mixtures by listening for a rev increase and opening the screw until the revs drop off, then returning to the peak rev point. Make sure you screw them in first, and you will have to keep messing with the idle speed. Good luck. This one goes up to 11
  9. Also from Burtons Power at about the same price. This one goes up to 11
  10. Ditto the above, Seven Workshop copper gaskets are the best however, a little testing for flushness and localised filing also works well This one goes up to 11
  11. Oh christ how big is this can of worms... Have a hunt in FAQ, the last mega-oil thread went on for about 15 pages. BTW I use semi synth 10W 40 in my X Flow. I expect to be bombarded with people telling me it's wrong now! 😬 This one goes up to 11 Edited by - puremalt on 7 Apr 2005 10:10:34
  12. Any idea where I can get DOTfasteners in the UK, these are the ones for doors, tonneau etc- , Namrick are based in the US and I don't really want to pay £6.00 postage. Thanks This one goes up to 11

  15. Really? I have 22 and 24 thou cold on the valves on a '90 supersprint. *eek* In my defence it's what the handbook states. This one goes up to 11
  16. Norman that's a beautiful car, must be heartbreaking to sell it. If I didn't have a seven (and a single garage) I would be very tempted. This one goes up to 11
  17. Excellent, thanks Mark. Very prompt tonight! This one goes up to 11
  18. Won't you get more oversteer on the softest setting? This one goes up to 11
  19. After purchasing a new switch from Redline as lights come on when heavy on the pedal, I realise that my '89 car won't have a switch under the pedal box, but one connected to the rear lights I believe. Can anyone tell me where it is. I'm assuming its on the fluid circuit somewhere so that means a brake fluid change, yes?? This one goes up to 11
  20. So have I. But its a 1 inch approx brass threaded bolt, with two electrical connectors and a central orofice. I assume it connects to the master cylinder but where exactly?? This one goes up to 11
  21. I am 10-12 mph fater on a stretch of road with Brooklands on. Feels much faster too as everyone says, in fact I have left it on all winter it's so much better. This one goes up to 11

  25. After my rebuild Millwood fabbed a bracket on the passenger side infront of the heater. Fits easily, and you can reach the bu55er now. You could drop it out the bottom if you know what I mean This one goes up to 11
