  1. Also an MJ will give about 25% better economy - I saw 30 + mpg in France this summer 😬 And on the track day at Castle Combe the jag XKr behind me couldn't out drag me from 3rd gear corners as the pick up was instant-another 😬 Is there an auto electronics place near you, it's worthwhile honestly. 2. Any piccies? Trying not to be interested.... Windscreens... They're for poofs
  3. And another. K&N apparently don't recommend cleaning too frequently, but 10 000 is probably ok. Windscreens... They're for poofs
  4. You're probably going to need to get under it, and have very narrow hands. The filler plug is adjacent to the passenger footwell box, so you could try as I did, drilling a hole in it and getting a socket on the plug, but working on my back in the footwell does make me want to puke From underneath it's easier but there isn't much more than 2 " I guess to play with, so the filler plug comes out ok, but getting it back in is interesting if you havent drilled the hole. If your mileage is that low, I'm not sure that you need to be concerned anyway, the oil should be ok, although you may need to top it up. Mine was done for the first time this year in at leat 10 years I think, with greater mileage than that. Windscreens... They're for poofs

    Megajolt

Thanks Bob. Graham, I used the Trigger wheels map which is OK. Rev limit set to 6400 which is fine as I can get carried away The trigger wheel is attached by drilling (carefully!) a hole on both htis and the pulley, tapping a thread and then attaching with a screw that's long enough to reach through both. After 3000 miles it is still fine, it was the suggested way . Mind you I installed it myself with assistance Cheers, Windscreens... They're for poofs

and the best part... an extra 7 mpg 😬 Yep, one of the best upgrades carried out. What did they charge you btw? Windscreens... They're for poofs

  9. Certailnly doesn't sound right. I think your explanation of being out of true is the more likely. My 4-1 exhasst doesn't have support but has only blown the same gasket once in some 20000 miles. Take it off and clean it up with emery cloth (the manifold too) and try the Seven workshops copper gaskets- they are very forgiving. There could just be crud on either surface. Windscreens... 12. Possibly, but it's three fifths of bu66er all fluid left in there to compress so i wouldn't worry too much Windscreens... They're for poofs
  13. Interested in the new 1144s have you a complete front set? How much do you want?- sorry to hijack the thread Windscreens... They're for poofs
  14. Shucks... too slow, 22 and 24 thou inlet/exhaust for a Supersprint Windscreens... They're for poofs
  15. Agreed, but you'd also have to take the pulley off probably- or just slacken the alt. right off which thinking about it is exactly what you'd do 😬
  16. Interesting, i have fiddled with this idea for too long, but was shamed into fitting a mapped ignition recently by a mate who had just bougkt his seven. This gives me smoother power delivery, no hesitation and an extra 6-7 mpg (!) It is like having a new engine as it feels faster. If the budget is stretched give this a whirl. Windscreens... 22. Hi, after a clear out (of the car) in the pursuit of fitting a megajolt, I have a crossflow distributor, brand new (still in box) cap, Lucas electronic ignition module, and wiper motor to dispose of. Dizzy with extra new cap £35 Make me an offer for either of the others (plus p+p) and they will be winging their way. Oh, and also the original crank pulley if you are really interested. 24. Tyrone, i've just bought a megajolt and trigger wheel/EDIS etc, it cost over £300, and now I realise I forgot the throttle sensor at another £30! Not cheap, it better be good. Windscreens... They're for poofs
  25. I think you've priced it fairly well, as the others say, get the carbs sorted and you have a real number . i am tempted as a Zetec conv. on my x/flow will cost approx 3-4K and the car's worth 6-7K so all in all a good buy. I am trying not to hit the "I am going to buy this car" button 😳 Windscreens... They're for poofs
