  1. I did play around with the position of the clips to make sure it's not near 12'o clock or interfering with the retaining screws. It does need a firm push to click into place but I've had them in and out a few times as I switched between the halo and cafe racer ones and it's not been an issue I found engaging the rim onto the headlight bowl at 12 o'clock and then "swinging" the bottom in worked best
  2. Deleted as I hadn't read previous post properly!
  3. I didn't want to cut any wires in case I decide to return to the original lights so I bought these as recommended by @PlastererPete https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364020925423?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=gnvCGhCvRzm&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Pv4erk9fRzy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY They insert into the existing sidelight holder. Then I cut the wires on this extension to fit spade connectors and fitted matching spade connectors to the led headlight to connect up.
  4. Hi all Bought this from demon tweeks for my black pack brooklands set up but as I've gone for rectangular glass rather than the usual curved this mirror fouls the screens slightly. Hence putting it up for sale for someone who may be able to use it on their aeroscreen. On Demon tweeks It's £120+ on Demon tweeks. I am looking for £75 including postage. Any questions please let me know.
  5. Hi all I am after a preferably polished decat collector to fit my 420r, hoping someone has one that is getting fed up of swapping it back every MOT. https://caterhamparts.co.uk/collectors-catalysts/7151-polished-collector-french-duratec.html Thanks
  6. These are expensive but require no drilling etc... http://www.woog.it/automotive/prodotto/removable-mirror-link-pair-for-caterham-7/
  7. that sounds even better! Saves having to buy another set of mirrors!
  8. Dibs on the Caterham indoor cover if you sell separately please!
  9. That 900 Superlight is gorgeous!
  10. I can confirm that on the halo design and the original cafe racer horizontal bar design (and cheaper eBay variants of both that I have sourced) the dipped beam bulb stays on when the high beam is activated. Turn 7 have recently added a YouTube video discussing this in serendipitous timing. https://youtu.be/XHhH8vOgFvI?si=e0xBTx_WB_pFAVZ8
  11. Hi guys. So I sourced some eBay specials to try out, two sets, one appears identical to the originalcaferacer ones and the others with the halo which again look identical to ones from kitcardirect. Just comparing DRL options below, haven't looked at beams etc as would probably take them somewhere to get the alignment correct. Original side lights Original cafe racer style horizontal bar White Halo Amber halo, can also be used as indicator as mentioned by others. I really wanted a yellow DRL rather than white or amber so will keep searching but any of these make you more visible. I think I prefer the horizontal bar but wife and kids like the "surprised" look of the white Halo rather than the "sleepy" look of the horizontal bar. I've fitted spade connectors to them all so can swap around easily when the mood takes me. Thanks @PlastererPete for the tips!
  12. For any others looking for the same answer as me, I have now spoken to a couple of people such as @Shortshiftand @MTW who have westermann doors and they seem to be reasonably straightforward to locate to existing body poppers. I have just bought a second hand tonneau which has existing poppers so will use that as a guide to add new poppers to my car to be able to fit the tonneau for now. And in the future if I get round to adding half doors will then add poppers to those to match locations already on the car. Thanks all
  13. Something like @L66TEY lambo hinges? That sounds great. I'm getting a brooklands set up so it would be mounted to the stanchion as it uses the same fixings as the windscreen.
  14. Pete did you install the eBay ones in the end? I've now got all the bits including the sidelight extensions but haven't got round to it yet.
  15. Thanks I suppose it makes sense to go for the zipped tonneau for the little bit extra to give you that option if needed
  16. @7_Malc that's great thanks I don't plan on driving with a half tonneau, it will just be for use when parked up. Hence looking at the cheaper lightweight tonneau from SBFS rather than the zipped one.
  17. Thanks, my head rests are really stiff to remove so I'm looking for a solution with pockets.
  18. Hi all. Can I please get a bit of advice. I am going for a switchable set up between windscreen and brooklands. I commute in my car if the weather is good but need rain protection when parked at work for passing showers. I currently use a long nose showercap but obviously this won't fit with the brooklands as it relies on the windscreen to get some tension. I was going to get the soft bits lightweight tonneau but have read on some blogs that the extra poppers for these have to have precise location IF I get half doors in the future. TL:DR So my question is how do the westermann half doors stay on. Is it a middle popper and a popper on the bow over the rear wheels? There doesn't seem to be a front popper as the front edge seems to tuck inside the scuttle. If I get a tonneau for now and stick a popper in the middle would that work with the westermann doors by making sure I place the popper on that in the same location? Also any other suggestions for weather protection when using brooklands? Thanks!
  19. Hi are these still available? And how many poppers do these need to attach to the car?
  20. I am guessing headrests need to come off for this to go on?
  21. So the parts department have confirmed to me that this is the decat pipe for the current Duratec models and is simply the polished version of CSP899LC.
  22. Never mind, a quick google found the just add lightness video, looks simple enough, just need some spade connectors for the side light 👍
  23. I've bought the eBay ones too! But am a complete newbie with spanner work. Are the connections behind the nose cone?
  24. I've got a 3 week old factory built 420r which has a noticeable whine between 50-60mph regardless of which gear it's in. Above 60 I guess wind noise makes it less noticeable. No significant knocking or grinding from the diff even in low speed manoeuvres. Much quieter than that 360r I test drove for an hour before ordering mine.
