Vinnie and myself gave it a go n gave up after 10min. So we did it the easy way...
cut the pipes to length and shaped.. went down to local garage n the guy there did them for me for 10€ whilst I waited (coffee and cake included) 😬
Intresting.... Iv already got the bits for my oil temp sender etc from Smiths but was waiting till I take the sump off to brase in a new boss.. this could same me the trouble...
anyone know if the K series and XF have the same thread on the sump plug.????
or even what the thread is on a XF plug??
screen appears to be identical.. the stantions are different

according to DVA's gearing prog http://members.aol.com/DVAndrews/ thats about right..
overdrive 5th, big tyres, 3.62 diff all adds up to a long ratio.. but it also means I can get 48-50 in 1st with my BGH E6 😬
a 3.92 diff will give you 83 (£££)...
Isnt a Live axle tank a different shape to a DD tank...
I know that the DD boots are several cm deeper than a LA boot and in my LA the wood plank sit right ontop of the tank, Im not sure it could get any lower with the tank there...
