  1. Yes they fit, I have a pair on my 2004 S3. The studs are a little short but enough to secure. I have all the watts linkages etc. and clearance is fine. Oh and they look fab really makes the back look stocky.... I have wide track on mine, but don't believe that impacts the back end clearance.. but I could stand corrected... There could be a few of these coming on the market as I believe their have been some rule changes on the use of the 9" rears in CSR Racing... but again happy to be stand corrected as I can't remember where I read it.... Go Wide Go 9" David M
  2. What price was it set at....? Can't access ebay at work... David M
  3. Hi, i think Peterborough might be a bit of a trek I have a red one in good order withe chrome stone guard £45, or a sanded black one with cracked gel coat that you can have for free. If you want to arrange for ipost parcels to collect I'll get either wrapped for collection. Just send me a blat mail... all the best David
  4. Where are you located? David M
  5. These guys are worth a try if you want to try something different. They do an alloy split rim wire wheel..... Turrino Wheels David M
  6. For noise reduction, powerspeed also do an insert that has very good results... not noticed any performance since it went in but others here will probably have a view.... David M
  7. Others here will understand this better than me but I wonder if Bump Steer comes into this...... with greater weight in the vehicle I guess it changes the influence of bump steer.... Big difference to my car since popping in a couple of 10mm spacers under the rack..... Just a thought..... David M
  8. Something else to be aware of..... Following my k-click problems and investigations etc. my conclusion (unsubstantiated) was that the additional items wired into my loom were causing power leakage, which brought on the K-click effects.... x2 12v sockets (x1 of those connected to a multi-socket) Autocom system All sorted now thanks to revilla's guidance, new relays and direct feed.... Just something to file away in the back of the mind just in case... David M
  9. Now very confused, happy but confused.... GF04RCE is my 2004 self-build, upgraded with a powerspeed bulk buy thus losing the CAT and going 4-2-1. At the time i had my old exhaust modified in case i needed to swap in the CAT for MOT's woth a 4-1 connector... I was ok without the swap for a number of years, then i was told the rules had changed so for the last couple of years i have been doing the swap. This time i thought i would check what type of exhaust check would be done. Clearly our 7's are not easily found on the systems but i was informed that it would be a non-cat test... so no swap sailed through the MOT £45 all in and i am on the road again. So what is the rule was i just lucky and they got it wrong or do self build cars not need CATs...? Cheers David M
  10. Hi all, I am considering making the move to the smaller headlights, but realised i know nothing about the options. Looking at the Caterham site there are standard which i guess are the 7" big ones i have on mine, then there are the 5 3/4" which i guess are the smaller ones that are fitted to the newer cars coming out of Caterham. searching BC i see there is talk of different bulbs LEDs etc. to give brighter options. I also see that some have set their lamps lower.... Is Caterham the only source of a new smaller set, have people gone smaller etc. ? Also interest to know if the 620R lights are the 5 3/4 ones... Cheers David M GF04RCE is MOT'ed and back on the road
  11. far from it, i took on a couple of projects to fund upgrades to GF04RCE one went well and the second was a disaster..... just clearing the garage... David M
  12. Sorry if this is breaking protocol, but i have just listed a whole bunch of CSR spares on ebay. A bundle of wishbones Dampers rear Upright Pedals Leather Gators and other leather bits oh and a few general bits..... and if none of that takes your fancy i am still looking for a buyer for my 2012 Ferrari FF v12 6.3ltr 650bhp engine Link here to all the bits on ebay.... Cheers David M
  13. The reason why I have a non-branded pleated cone filter on my 140bhp k-series and not the new Caterham Foam one I bought is a long story but I am therefore looking to replace what I have. The question (which I have searched through the history and not found an answer to) is, "Is there any real benefit of using another brand of air filter over the standard Caterham Foam one?" Thanks David M
  14. Still available, dibs have dropped out as they wanted a different type.... so all back to first dibs again.... David
  15. It is a single diagonal bar across the top, 900mm between rear fixing points above the shocks. Must confess to never understanding the difference between an imperial and metric chassis... its from a 2004 S3 if that helps. Not sure where that leaves it on the dibs and what people were looking for but if anyone interested i will work back along the dibs and check.... David M
  16. I will check when I get home and post up a picture.... although I think it has the diagnol bar across the top and not what seems to be the more desirable Double D's.... 😳 (sorry couldn't resist) David M
  17. I have an S3 chassis full roll cage with side protection bar available made by Caged. Scratched here and there with some standard peeling of the powder coat around the fixing points and sorry but no bolts... £325 for both Collection only please on this one.... :o) David M Edited by - gf04rce on 2 Jan 2014 13:38:32
  18. Hi John, sorry but I havn't looked at an EU2 solution yet and not sure what the differences would be yet. Charlie is absolutely right about it being a number of different things, the MFR is just one, along with cleaning out the solenoid, changing the main battery cables and identifying if there is a voltage drain in your loom. The MFR change does however provide the opportunity to run a direct link from the Battery which sorts out the voltage drain issue. David M
  19. I created a prototype using the relay connector tails, then replicated this with direct links. The mini spade connectors look like a winner which should tidy things up, but i havn't heard back from my potential supplier of mfr's. I have started the pdf explanation but am nervous about this being an amature solution, but will fill it with disclaimers I guess I could do with someone within reasonable distance of Peterborough that has an EU3 K series seven that has not had any modifications to the MFR, to try a straight swap test as i have not done this yet... David M
  20. Actually i will throw in a full tank of Diesel if it is a Blatchatter who takes it
  21. As this is on ebay for £6,400 I have now matched that here and revised the price down... David M
  22. Hi I am still trying to get my jack working. having searched and searched for a manual or exploding diagram of our jack I turn to Blatchat.... I need to work out the order of springs and balls inside the two Allen key screws holes on the top of the drive unit. There are a number of manuals around but not for ours.... Unless someone is willing to have a look for me inside theirs I may have to say bye bye to my trusty friend and repeat ten times every night from now on, thou shall be more careful during disassembly and write things down..... Any help greatly received.. David M
  23. Hi I have a set of SV /CSR Hood sticks for sale .... £20 + postage Drop me a blatmail.....
