  1. Hi all, Decided to pick up a new(ish) set of bilstiens for GF04 RCE (2004 S3) so imperial Arch chassis. The new dampers however came off a 2014 metric chassis. 1) will they fit? 2) will I have to change anything? (e.g bushes) if i have to do too much to them i may just go down the refurb option and sell them on.... Thanks David M
  2. Hi there, I need a momo round Suede steering wheel, I currently have a D shape Suede Momo but really want a round one. May consider a swap, depending on condition. Cheers David M
  3. I have been searching through the history but cant really find the answer.... my 2004 adjustable billy's are getting a bit tired so the standard questions: Do I get them refurbed at £80 a corner? Do I look at Nitrons? Do I look at Quantum? Do I look for something else? Main use is general B road use..... If anyone has done the analysis and has some pricing etc. all the better. cheers David M
  4. Hi there, I am making something for another member but without Blatmail I have no way of contacting him wihout publishing my phone number or email. Blatmail is a core function of he Forum.... thanks David M
  5. Hi Tim, It looks like you have the extra wire..... I'll make one up for you to try with any payment on confirmation ofit working... (this is a tinkering solution not a mass production solution) :0) No Blatmail is a real oversite as I am not sure how we contact each other without publishing email or phone numbers on here...... David
  6. If your current MFR has the extra wire (top right hand corner of the big plug usually, some do some don't) the internals are wired up slightly differently so I just need to know. The direct feed to the battery will need to be used if provided (again wired up slightly differently inside) I would recommend for confidence having the direct feed into the battery. David M
  7. Hi there.... For sale one pair of CSR Belstein front shocks (7k miles) £150 and I will throw in a spare rear spring as well. I also have a repaired 15" CSR Anthracite front wheel needs painting following repair £40 (CSR offset is different to standard seven) David M
  8. Following some guidance from Revilla and the amazing success on my K Click problem I looked at getting hold of some MFR's and making a plug and play solution by ripping out the internals and replacing them with the two relay's. Little black Box on top of the ECU looks the same plugs in the same just has different relays wired up inside. I have just been asked by someone to make up a box for them (offered £50) I was just interested if anyone else was interested in one. If so I will set up a little production line and put a batch together. EU3 only - either with the extra wire or without but let me know. I will include the fused direct feed to the battery that overcomes any low voltage issues as standard but if it is preferred without this it can be made up to suit. Let me know... David M
  9. Sorry... you are right I should have stated price. £360 for the three standard wheels and tyres. Tyres all have very good tread 4mm+ There is a bit of flaking to the coating (normal) but they still look great. £40 for the CSR rim as it needs tidying up, I have a spare CR500 which i can add to the sale for £50 if required. Tom, you have first dibs on the x3 if the price is ok. I will provide pictures as required... Cheers David
  10. Having changed my rear tyres to CSR Fatboy 9" ers and removed my wheel carrier, I have the following available: x3 15" for S3/SV Anthracite Caterham standard wheels with Avon CR500 tyres. x1 15" CSR Anthracite front wheel with CSR offset - this has been repaired and will provide pictures on request. I am open to fair offers just blat mail me.... Thanks David p.s I also have a repaired Ferrari FF V12 engine, 651bhp listed on ebay for £14,750 just in case anyone was thinking of an upgrade lol.... and yes i have thought about but no not going o do it!! lol
  11. Is there a view if MIG or TIG is better for car body work? David M

    CSR Wheels on S3

Thanks guys... looks like I need to get my tape measure out and work out which wheels have which offset and which ones I have on the front of the car and which ones in storage. Not sure what the effect of having same wheel different offset on left and right might have.... I have been wondering how I got a different left right tow in reading with my tracklite drive over board thingy I wonder if this could be the reason.... some investigatoring this weekend me thinks..... CSR Wheels on S3

If they are different i hadn't noticed will have to check as i have a bunch if 15" wheels if they are different i have them all mixed up. May even have one of each on the car at the moment knowing me David M

    CSR Wheels on S3

The CSR fronts are the standard Caterham 15" wheels so yes they fit under the cycle wings.... David M

    CSR Wheels on S3

Yep, GF04RCE is a 2004 s3 and i am currently running the 9" CSR 15" on the back. Yes they fit and nothing rubs (inc. watts linkages etc.) The studs are a little short but nothing of any concern. I have some ride height (rake) issues to sort out and need to get the tyre pressures right but they look great and drive great. It has been said acceleration might be a bit out, speedo defo out but it always was. Hope that helps... David M
  17. Well it didn't sell for £1200 on ebay, so not sure what that sais about the current value of them, but will run another listing. If a Blat Chatter is interested i am sure i can agree a discount by the way David M
  18. I am starting to think the reason they are so rare is that so many people have them squirelled away for a rainy day's fetling.... David M
  19. I think the MG race series upped from 160 to 190's which has increased demand and Brown & Gammon apparently are having an impact. Its pure demand and rarity and what people are prepared to pay, in this case for a fresh unused head..... David M
  20. Thanks Mark for the reassurance on price....... David M
  21. *smile*All mine ..... My upgrade plans for GF04RCE have had to change as i am pooling cash for some new projects so selling all the fun bits.... The Head is the real jewel, I bought it from the liquidation sale at MG Rover Motorsport when they closed their doors. I will let the market decide what it is worth to someone but as someone who has been hunting for a VHPD engine for a while now with no joy, its rare, but will see... David M GF04RCE
  22. Hi there, I'll send a blat mail but have a set, I had sent them for powder coating but they havn't been done yet. If you wanted them in a specific colour i may even be able to arrange... David
  23. Some relay mods require a direct connection to the starter. If you have a few 12v supplies attached and are losing voltage in he loom. This is what happened with mine. Revilla (hero) came up with a solution which has a direct fused link that resolves this. I had also set myself up to start building some plugg and play replacements using the existing relay housing which is all very neat. Have all the parts just never got around to bulding them up. There is a post on here that explains where you fit the wire if you search for k click. Good luck, as someone who knows the frustration of k click, be assured there is a solution. David M
