  1. Yellow with yellow roll bar and carbon front wings. You were heading towards Tenterden. We were a couple of cars behind in the tin top so couldn't flash. Tom
  2. You were heading south near Epsom on the Brighton road at about 7.20 am
  3. I'm not sure what they're called but they were standard Caterham fit on supersport/superlight models prior to the recent switch to Appollo. Anyone happen to have a pair of these that need a good home? If so please let me know your price. Thanks Tom
  4. You were stuck in traffic at the Leeds Castle roundabout, Thursday morning just before 9am. Looked a little damp... Well done for using it in the rain , mine's been left in the garage for most of this year Tom
  5. Great feeling getting spotted on the first day of ownership. First day I had mine on the road, I got pulled over S7EVEN and spotted at Bodiam Castle. Well chuffed! Think you might have to go at the back of blats from now on What colour is by the way? Tom
  6. Waved to you from a black VW Polo Tom
  7. Noticed you in the car park as I was leaving at around 4pm. Very good steak and onion pie Tom
  8. BigCol & LouisFeakes, I'd recommend buying spares ASAP! Mine got stuck a couple of times before failing completely.... Make sure you order the right ones though, I understand that they have changed in the last few years... Tom
  9. Between Goudhurst and Cranbrook. You were in a queue of cars so didn't see the reg. great day for it, mine's in the garage waiting for the indicator relay to arrive... Tom
  10. Exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday, removed the relay gave it a good tap but alas it still doesn't work . CC appear to be out of stock... I had a quick look on RS components and couldn't find an exact replacement - anyone know a stockist? For info, my car is a 2013 supersport sigma. Thanks Tom
  11. I've got a sigma supersport with the same catch tank setup as you - I haven't had to modify it thus far. Are you sure that you've not overfilled the engine with oil? I slightly overfilled mine once at a trackday and the excess ended up in the catch tank after a few laps. During normal running - even on quickish blats I get little more than a few drops in the tank, on a trackday I end up with about an inch or 2 of water/oil brown liquid. - that reminds me - need to empty it tonight... Tom
  12. Hi Matthew, I was worried about doing everything by myself as I've very little experience with trailers and nothing the size of a car transporter. I have to say it was a breeze! the only difficult bit was manouvering the trailer on my drive - I had to unhitch to turn around and could have used a bit more muscle to push the (empty) trailer. I just tried to make sure that I didn't get myself in any situations I didn't have the talent to get out of The only reversing I had to do was in a straight line and I think the twin axle makes this a lot easier than some of the small trailers I've towed in the past. The trailer I had was a Brian James twin axle with 13' bed. It took me a while to figure out how to tie the car down with the selection of ratchet straps the hire company gave me and I wasn't overly happy with the result but the car didn't move at all in 150+ miles. One thing I would say if you're going to hire a trailer is to make sure you've got a 7 to 13 pin adapter - your new car will probably have 13 pin electrics, older trailers often have the 7pin plug... Are you going to buy a trailer? if so it would be good to hear what you decide to get as this is probably what I'll end up having to do. cheers Tom
  13. I Wish I'd read this post a couple of days ago.... I rented a trailer yesterday to tow the caterham (s3) to a track day - talked to two trailer dealers, told them the car (VW golf), they told me the max towing weight was 1400Kg and because their trailers weighed less than 3/4 tonne I was fine to tow - clearly this isn't the case as the trailer gross weight was around 2000Kg... That said, I loaded the trailer properly and the golf did brilliantly, even when a lorry decided it wanted my lane whilst I was along side! That manouver in my old defender would have resulted in a lot more drama...even without a trailer! But if that's what the law states, then I'll have to find a company that rents trailers with a GW less than 1400Kg, suspect I'll be out of luck. Glad I wasn't stopped. Tom
  14. Heading in the direction of Burwash. Stunng day for a drive - we waved from black Z4 going the other way .
  15. I was in front of you in a grey golf with a motorbike between us. Nice afternoon for it! Tom
  16. Metallic light green, about 8.30am anti-clockwise side. Looked lovely, shame the weather wasn't kinder. Spotted you from inside the services whilst ordering coffee. Tom
  17. Wife spotted you at about 1 - 2pm parked in the high street.
  18. Where abouts did you spot the orange seven? I was out for about an hour on Saturday afternoon on the Weald. Not going to openly admit to being sideways at any point though! Fantastic day for it. Tom
  19. Stopped and said hi . Fantastic afternoon for it. Hope to see you on a blat soon Tom
  20. Mine has done this from new (2013 supersport),nearside front for me - it's a bit irritating at low speed but as Ian says - drive faster! Both Caterham cars and sevens and classics have put copper slip on the back of the pads which helps for a while - Tim at sevens and classics did tell me that there used to be shims available to help with the problem. I've not bothered looking too hard for a solution as I'm going to upgrade the front brakes over winter - First upgrade!! Tom
  21. Hi Chris, When I built mine last year I had exactly the same problem. Manual didn't describe the 140 installation. I was told that this was being sorted out - clearly not! I ended up going to the factory to look at cars being assembled to figure it out. PM me your email address and I'll send any photos you need. Or if you're local you're welcome to come around and have a look at my car ( Cranbrook Kent) Cheers Tom
  22. Hi Julian, Do you have a limited slip diff? I was on track with a similar spec seven (ChrisC) behind me except I have 6" rears with a limited slip diff and he had 8" rears and no limited slip diff - I had better traction out of the tighter corners, sadly he had the talent everywhere else! Also I like the feel of the car moving around a bit! with only 140 horses my view is that 8" are a bit overkill, but that said they fill the arches nicely, the 2 other supersport owners I know run 8" rears so each to their own I guess. I haven't experimented with adjusting the ARB...yet Tom
  23. Hello I was off to a friends for breakfast at Dungeness, If I'd looked at blatchat last night I could have joined you for the fast half of the blat Hope you had a good one, if Martin was leading I bet you had a good run past the ranges between Camber and Lydd... I'll keep a closer eye on blatchat, hope to see you on the next one. Tom
