  1. AC50 is quite sprayable as is no need to heat it. Just fill an an empty detergent spray after thoroughly cleaning and try a test spray.
  2. Dont dilute it I use an old hand sprayer either a detergent sprayer or even garden sprayer. Its better applied neat. Have done underneath with mine using these no problem. Preferred use by aircraft manufacturers and engineers. Be aware when having Mot my garage wanted to include an advisory for diff or gearbox leak when in fact it was just AC 50. I bought it loose in a 4 ltr plastic container.
  3. Its a pity you cannot get it to Northampton motor sport. They arranged transport from up here in Lancashire by a guy who transports for Bohnams and many others and is a really nice guy and very professional. The garage stored the car inside and returned the car in pristine condition. The work they carried out was brilliant and I can say they are a very professional reputable company. I had no knowledge of them prior to the work carried out on my car. If I was disappointed believe me they and the forum would have been informed.
  4. Please do. Let me know and I will see if I have got it. 😁 Have auto brake bleeder and caliper piston retracting kit. steering geometer gauges Torque Wrenches of wide ranges Grease guns Rear hub nut sockets etc. oh and kettle.
  5. Thank you rkeywood for your kind offer, sadly up in Lancashire or I would gladly have called in. 👍
  6. Had mine recently in Northampton Motor Sport. On jam and bread now and not sure can afford jam 🤣
  7. Took me a year to build this in 1997. Still on the road today as its taxed and Mot’d though I don't know where, was not far from me. The guy bought it on ebay and drove it down from Edinburgh. He came round to show me about 5 years ago.
  8. Caterham built mine but countless hours over the last 3 years by myself and others upgrading and changing components to get it to how I like it. Do you ever finish ? 😆
  9. Hi Tony am in Blackburn if you are near me, have a variety of tools and gauges if you need any, just contact to see if I have what you need.
  10. Have ordered a carbon fibre cover so will have Caterham and 310S on it. You mean that sometimes the rain actually stops. 🤣🤣
  11. Thanks PlastererPete 🙂
  12. So the fly in the ointment. The immobilizer is not working so rang Troy at Northampton Motorsport and he is sending the electrical guy up to Blackburn to sort it. Now I know problems occur and things can go wrong but its how its sorted that counts in this case their no quibble action is commendable.
  13. I had the catchcan on a bracket at the front clamped to the chassis but they have repositioned it to where the intake used to be now space is available. The aluminium coolant pipe was bespoke made.
  14. Just looked under bonnet really impressed with the professional installation and all very neat and tidy.
  15. Thanks to those who reacted positively with likes.
  16. Cars back, went for a quick blast. All I can say is Wow. 175.7 BHP at 7,700 rpm. The induction noise couple with the exhaust is like sweet music. Worth the expense and the wait.
  17. Mine has been fitted with Jenvey throttle bodies and kept existing fuel pump and fuel tank although they did upgrade fuel injectors and sensors. ( See thread “Took The Plunge”)
  18. Havent a clue. Car comes back tomorrow with old Ecu I dont know what its worth really. Would appreciate suggestions.
  19. 20. I will get back the Caterham ECU from my 310, Does this have any value for club members or should I just bin it..
  21. At last car coming back tomorrow. Northampton say all good and runs really well.
  22. Suspension springing and damping is very much a personal choice based on the use of the vehicle and road conditions it rides on. You only have to look at Formula one cars whose suspension setups cater for the characteristics of the motor racing circuits they run on. They are setup for maximum performance with little regard for driver comfort. At the other end of the spectrum is a car such as a Rolls Royce whose reputation is bolstered by it luxurious comfortable ride. So somewhere in between we with our Caterham cars have to decide what we want. Although we try all sorts of different coffee blends to find what we like, suspension setups and choice of its hardware is cost prohibited to try all the different makes and types. Some people will talk to providers and fellow owners who have suffered the pain of experiment. I am one of those who will do that then pay my money and take my choice.
