  1. I could say Mr Vine you are in danger of becoming pompous and self opinionated who delights in controversy. ….. but I am in fact alerting you to the possibility that your previous posts might just be capable of being construed that way by anyone.
  2. I agree calling me a Sanctimonious Prig was unnecessary. “Now, now, Mr Beagler, please calm down. As I recall, this topic has come up before. I earnestly hope you're not one, but is it really your intention to portray yourself as a sanctimonious prig?” JV
  3. Like many updated Sevens, its been enhanced and more desirable.
  4. Thanks Toddler. The electrical guy that came to sort it said that the feed for the new ECU was linked to the immobiliser. He tried disconnecting ECU to see if it would reinstate immobiliser. It didn't. The LED on the dash glows faintly but the immobiliser doesn't work. No bad earth, he checked. . The car starts and runs okay without the fob. Well they will take the car and assure me it will be sorted.
  5. The well known poster will know. 🤭
  6. Some may say, I couldn't possibly comment.
  7. Would be better to contact Northampton Motorsport for a quote as specs and prices change.
  8. In the word of a well known poster, Drivel. If Caterham are happy and rebadge it . I am happy.
  9. Will meet Troy soon, will ask him.
  10. Yes, exhaust more throaty but significant induction noise.. No plans for installing a radio. 🤣🤣
  11. Midrange torque was my request as increased speed wasn't a requirement. Having road tested all I can say is WOW and I am still smiling.
  12. Toddler was that an immobiliser non function. Was yours uprated by Northampton.
  13. Troy is a talented engine tuner whose skill is excellent. I can turn the ignition on from outside the car, press the starter and the engine will start first time and idle smoothly. The engine prior would idle with an indicated rpm of 1400 now its about 1000 but more significant is this with a lightened flywheel. No more more Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on the overun. 🤣
  14. Yes. One reason I had it done.
  15. GJT After purchase from Caterham Gatwick it went back for replacement windscreen under warranty. Wile they had it I asked them to uprate the engine to 310 standard and they also re assigned it as a 310S and removed existing decals and fit the 310S. The car is insured as a 310S and insurer was informed of changes.
  16. Does have some sleeve. Looks like heat-shrink. May look at fitting the spirally stuff. Thanks for drawing attention. 🙂
  17. An update to above thread. Northampton Motor Sport electrical engineer came up to Lancashire to resolve immobiliser issue but was unsuccessful. It may be the immobiliser unit has gone faulty coincidentally to the work carried out. Spoke to Troy the CEO and he is personally coming to pick the car up, take it back to Northampton to sort out. There are not many companies that would be determined to sort out a problem going to such trouble. I can only praise their customer service.
  18. Thanks but not a fob programme issue.
  19. So had my Cat to Northampton Motor sport and on its return the immobiliser is not working. They despatched their electrical guy to me at a not an in insignificant distance to rectify the problem. After several hours it was determined the Sterling module had gone faulty. The car will start without the fob but subsequent the immobiliser light will not flash but remains very faint. He checked for bad earth and went through the wiring but the conclusion was the Sterling module is faulty. It maybe a replacement Sterling kit is required. Have to say Northamptom Motor sport have been excellent in trying to resolve this issue

I always take as I find. I had no problem with my purchase. The guy was very helpful and the cover was excellent quality therfore I have no complaints.

Think its enough updating for this year. Jack Webs a great guy to talk to and his plug cover is excellent quality and a better replacement of CC’s cover. Northamptons neat install of TB’s and my elbow grease on the pipes means I’m done….. for a bit. 🤣
