  1. Think I'll just order a new Rev counter and see if that helps.
  2. Thanks Jonathan I will try and answer some of your questions. The car is a four cyl sigma tuned fro 270s to 310s and ecu upgraded but the cat was bought from Catterham Gatwick and was their car. It had always read high from purchasing it and its obvious it doesnt Idle at 1150 rpm as indicated. Queried it with Caterham and they said it was reading a bit high but I didnt persue then. The Timon is reading correct and the induction wire is taken from the plug lead.
  3. It has always seemed high to me so I thought I would check it. Is the rev counter faulty or something else.
  4. Could be piston is retracting but the pad is sticking in the caliper. Make sure it can rattle a tad then copper grease on the back and tiny smear on the edges.
  5. "First, I plead guilty to being a serial suspension upgrader," You now risk being branded a heretic by some on here. Hope you've got a tin hat.
  6. There was an array of about 5 of them attached to the canopy frame in front of the Pilot and Navigator to give a panoramic view rearward.
  7. The technology exists to do what you want. The BMW motorcycle helmets we had with their bluetooth intercom would allow sat nav instructions, music or Vox and you could prioritise Vox for rider to passenger speech
  8. Would have fit this if lens wasnt so scratched. Its from a Tornado F3 I rescued from the scrap bin.

Thanks Toughie. Have fitted 4 pot calipers and vented discs with uprated master cylinder. Recent Mot guy was impressed with their performance. Has 13 in wheels. Dont go out in the wet plenty of sunny days last year, hoping for more this year.

Once again my thanks particularly to Krisfl ( Food for thought) and others that have replied with constructive suggestions.

You reminder is completely superfluous. I have modified or upgraded many vehicles in my time and always with the knowledge of my insurer. This car is no exception also this was a CC factory built car. I would be surprised if my insurer would be happy to continue covering a car that contravenes emission laws contributes to atmospheric pollution.

Dont want to Decat as I would have to inform insurance and wish to stay legal. I dont have an issue with driving a faster car as I have ridden 1200cc motorcycles for years that do 0 to 60 in 3 secs. I have also driven faster cars than mine. Thanks to those who gave helpful advice.

So the 2019 Sigma 270s has had a 310 engine and the brake upgrade to 4 pots and M/C so what would you do to improve performance.
  19. Any one who breaks it

    Oil Catch Can

Either engine over full or too much piston blow by leading to excessive crankcase pressure ie engine knacked.
  22. Found C-tek very good has modes for AGM battery fitted to my BMW X1 and a Recon cycle also a temperature sensor. .
  23. Ferodo DS2500 Competition Brake Pads offer low and high speed braking efficiency, reduced stopping distances and a consistent brake pedal feel from the start. Low noise / low dusting Long pad life Kind on discs Race pedal feel This new generation of friction material is very low in compressibility ensuring a firm pedal, whilst still providing low wear rates for discs and pads. Combined with low wheel dusting and good noise characteristics, this compound is the brake pad for the driver who demands the ultimate in track day braking performance. DS2500 pads offer a consistent coefficient of friction (0.42) at all temperatures Ferodo DS2500 brake pads are designed for competition / off-road use, and as such are not approved for use on the road.
  24. Ralph you should check steering and suspension joints also. You could also remove pads and rub braking surface on a flat surface with medium emery. Put smear of copper grease between piston and rear of pad on assembly. Deglaze the disc also with emery.
