  1. I'm selling mt Dragy GPS as I feel I've learned what I wanted to from it. I measured performance before and after fitting a lighter flywheel. Check out their website for more info www.dragymotorsports.co.uk New is £145 Looking for £100 posted to the UK. It comes boxed, with all original kit, ready to go. Monitor your 0-60mph, 60-130mph, 100-200kmh, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile performance, and more! Dragy uses high speed GPS satellites to accurately measure your vehicles performance within 1/100th of a second. The Dragy software automatically charts slope on all timeslips which you can then post to forums or social media, share with friends, or even upload to the Dragy leader board. The Dragy box is extremely compact at 1" x 3" (25.4mm x 76.2mm) and can be set on the dash when testing and stored in the glove box or center console when not in use.
  2. I don't know, but physics would suggest an engine will spin up faster with less mass. perhaps they could use my data?
  3. One thing I forgot mention, and it's a big thing for me, was the improved smoothness of gear changes.
  4. Hi Folks, after trawling this forum when trying to figure out the benefits of the lightened flywheel, I came across lots of varied answers, but no hard numbers. I wanted to be able to measure the benefits (as much as an amateur mechanic can), so I set about trying to measure performance. The only real variable I can measure is 0-60 time, as responsiveness, engine braking etc is hard to put a number on. So, did I improve my 0-60 time?
  5. Selling my headset as I don't use it enough. Great for listening to music, talking phone calls (clear and effective in the Caterham), and communicating with others via a radio (not included. Includes a charger and a radio cable. £290 inc delivery
  6. If the type 9 is the Mazda 5 speed, I recently made a video of me doing this job..
  7. If there was a nice version available comercially, I'd buy one!
  8. Hi Scott, yes, sounds like a sensible approach!
  9. You're correct, my book says 1.2 L I was asking about oil on a FB forum and the conclusion there was that new editions of the manual says 0.8L due to the seals leaking. Mine don't leak, but I've put in less than the 1.2. Probably 0.9 - 1 L will be in mine. check for your own car.
  10. I've attempted my first oil change on my BMW open diff. if you want to avoid the same mistakes I made, you can see how I did it here.
  11. No idea. Guess that's what makes me an amateur mechanic. Perhaps that's why it didn't take the full 2 L of new oil? perhaps the other drain plug holds the remaining 100ml.... I did see some info about some oil in the turret, I'll maybe do that next year!
  12. I've documented my changing of my gearbox oil on my Caterham 310s if anyone is interested.
  13. Hi Jonathan, appreciate you considering my eye safety. I did the old "eyes shut" whilst blowing technique. I still strip wires with my teeth. Don't tell my Mother.
  14. Thanks to DJ. For this useful guide. I had to do mine so made a video to add to my channel.
  15. Hello, can anyone help me with the tool name / size required to open the fill/drain bolt for the BMW diff on my 310s please? just under the "m" of Caterham.
  16. Hi, I've not tracked yet. I can see AP Racing 225 on the back. Don't know about the front, I need to get a wire tool so I can refit the fronts. wear doesn't look too bad, but the rears are quite rusty. Any recommended options welcomed, I'll remove the old ones to check over soon.
  17. Hi, I can't find any recent posts about which brake pads would be best for fast road or track use. I read the Ferodo pads had a "not for road use" disclaimer. any recommendations please? 2016 310S SV
  18. Hi Andy, the suspension arms needed stripping and re-powder coated so needed the old ones out. A blow torch dealt with those.
  19. Hi Andy, didn't really notice any difference to be honest. I mainly bought the, because I could fit them at home without a special press, well, when I figured out the technique using a hairdryer and the freezer.
  20. Following on from my lightened flywheel video series, I've added a new one talking about this seemingly incurable condition.....upgraditis. Video link below. Subscribe for more vids!
  21. My AirPods Pro 2's are awesome. Much better than over the head Bose set I have. I go full noise cancellation on long drives, and off when having a blast. They trigger "slight " noise cancellation when it gets too loud, which work great for what I want. I have the Just Add Lightness headset for when I want to chat to others, but they don't cut out much noise in my opinion.
