  1. Well done to all the cup winners and thanks to Graham, Paul and Alan for all the work that went into a great season. The end-of-season dinner today was a nice way to end it. All the best to the new team starting their preparations.
  2. Very good footage. Worth seeing! Simon
  3. I think that normal battery chargers have stages where they pulse at higher voltages. This is needed to maintain lead acid batteries, but definitely unwanted for Li ion ones. I bought a halfords intelligent charger, and when I set it to 'Li ion' it skips these stages. Simon
  4. I have stayed at Fradley Premier Inn. IMO it is nothing fancy but perfectly fine. The adjacent pub normally does food - if not try the Swan Inn, Fradley. Simon
  5. Hello All, I have just sent the weekend details and routes by email to those that have signed up. There is still time to join. Please email Lucy and Jordan at adminteam@caterhamlotus7.club to get on the mailing list. Saturday is a driving day with two options: Through Cheddar Gorge to Haynes Motor Museum, or a much longer blat into Exmoor. Sunday is a flexible day with a range of alternatives. I understand that the Carpenters Arms still has some rooms available if you plan to stay for both days. regards Simon
  6. It seems that most people prefer to join the Saturday Blat, rather than the whole weekend. However a few people are staying locally. I rang up the pub today - there are still some rooms available. It will be quite an informal affair - you can come and go as you please. You should complete the bookings for any meals independently. We'll send out the weekend plan and route details by email to those that have registered with the office. Please email or phone to let them know your interest if you have not done so already (adminteam@caterhamlotus7.club or 01873 777303). The outline details of the weekend can be found here. More to follow. Best, Simon
  7. The skid pan is very slippery! The chap at Thruxton told me that the cars need little attention during servicing because there is little stress on the components (and tyres). Tyre wear will be minimal. If the session is booked out then please contact the club office and put your name on the reserve list. We'll open another session if there is enough demand. Simon
  8. Welcome to class 1! I am happy to give advice too. I suppose that the important thing is no to double check you have all the kit and arrive in plenty of time. Once there, the others in the same class can nudge you in the right direction when its time to get ready. Simon
  9. Welcome to the Club! I built a 160 in 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed touring around in it. Its an excellent car for long trips. With such a light and nimble car, braking in the wet did take a while. However, I think that this is more to do with the thin profile of the tyres than the pads. I don't know if better tyres are available. However, part of the attraction of the car was the way it moved around at low speed. At that time an limited slip diff was not available for the 160. However, your supersprint has one and I think that this might really enhance the feel of the car. I am sure that you will enjoy it. Simon
  10. Hello Sock8, Most of us run Yokohama A539 in class 1 Simon
  11. Hello Arthur, it's not this is it? ebay link I remember swapping the fuel pump relay on my 160. regards Simon
