    Paint Code

Paintnuts. They will take your order and money but they don't have it. Took 8 weeks to get my money back. DerekH
  5. I was using a Fluke 187 Bit OTT for car electricals DerekH
  6. Larger electrical surface area in contacts with the coolant? still not enough to worry about. Interesting though. DerekH
  7. I connected the positive lead of the meter to the radiator itself so there is a larger and normal surface area in contact. I think the drawback of grounding the radiator is if you get a sensor fail it could then eat away the radiator. I had bought earth straps to bond mine and the decide not too after measuring the voltages. DerekH
  8. I just measured mine with blue IAHT at -25mV. Not enough to worry about. a few hundred mV would be different. DerekH
  9. Based on the advice from Radtec I changed to old fashioned blue coolant last year. No issues so far on my Sigma. You do need to change it every two years. DerekH
  10. I can weld the frame, although my welding kit is in Yorkshire. I will mend it. Do Oxted sell those parts directly? I don't see them listed on the Caterham site. Its just another of those things when you get inside it you see how simple the construction is and how it might have been made better. Thanks for the reply, I have managed to contact Gary male and purchase his seats. DerekH
  11. Looking for an SV black leather seat. Would consider a pair. The frame and back on mine has broken. Thanks DerekH
  12. The paper filter is from a 2002 Ford Fiesta Fusion Ford Part 1 729 854 Easy when you have it in your hand. Bosch replacement £9.95 posted from Ebay. Derek H
  13. Anyone know the OE part number for the panel air filter for a Sigma with the cold feed air box? Thanks DerekH
  14. Wow! Two 5 hour stints is hardcore. That will need an early start! Route will need a lot more waypoints otherwise one wrong slot or road closure will see you onto the auto routes. I also see it goes through the centre of Reims, so will need Crit'air stickers and to be Euro 4 compliant in 2024 ? Think we'd be better avoiding the issues this brings with it DerekH
  15. Hi Roger, Carol and I would be interested in coming along please. DerekH
  16. Probably should be re-badged a 360S? Please PM me if you don't want to say on here but what was the cost? DerekH
  17. Interesting. I recall reading the bill of materials at the beginning of this thread. So the ECU was changed and then there was some additional new cabling to connect the solenoids and sensors to the new ECU. It also interesting that NMS have used different/short throttle bodies keeping the air cleaner within the bonnet line unlike the Premier Power 175 upgrade. I would expect that PP had some involvement as Troy and Stuart work a lot together. Very nice!
  18. Just one thing, you might need to enlarge the bore of the hole through the connector as diff oil viscosity is a bit higher than hydraulic fluid. Was a bit of a beast in its day. DerekH
  19. I had a Girling remote brake reservoir fed from the bottom, this then used to drain back into the diff when it cooled. Axle was a Salisbury 4HA 5 linked in the back of a Lotus Sunbeam rally car. Scruitineer decided he didn't like it in the car even though it was inside the rear bulkhead with the battery and fuel tank being a hatchback car. Sorry, I don't have any pictures of that arrangement DerekH
  20. Simon, Caterham have this as a 4 year replacement on their service schedule. Brake fluid every two years. Worth it for peace of mind, a hose failure could be pretty catastrophic. My car will be 4 years old in January so I think I'll replace mine. Regards DerekH
  21. Hello, Welcome to the new area page. I'm looking for a photo to use at the top of this page ideally of 7's parked outside The Old Swan on a club night. The old picture went with the old web site so it's time for something new. Can anyone help please? email to mailto:northantsbedsbucks@caterhamlotus.club Thanks Derek
  22. Wednesday 18th at The Old Swan 19:30
  23. I changed mine at 3 years and vacuumed out the old oil. I came out a nice dark blue colour with no bits in it. I was able to remove a liter of oil. Replaced with 800ml of Castrol Transmax BMW LSD oil. Available on Amazon. It seems to be more slippery dropping the preload by 4 pounds and made the low speed noise much less. Diff still locks up nicely when required. I only have Sigma to push it along, so far its holding up OK. Pre-load is still at 40 pounds. DerekH
  24. My gauge magic board and LED is now fitted calibrated and tested. My SV tank takes 38 usable litres having emptied and filled it during the calibration process. Tank got down to halfway on Saturday and took 18 litres to refill. Gauge at half full is set at 20 litres. Pleased with that. Started on Sunday with a half tank and ran it down to 12 litres, to flashing orange warning. LED Got to 10 litres and flashing red LED, then 6 litre warning with the solid red LED. Filled with 28 litres, so maybe some more margin but knowing what the gauge is reading is much more helpful than just a vague indication. Maybe I could have got more fuel in but covering your shoes in petrol is never nice. Well done again Andrew. DerekH
