  1. Nick, Crudders will probably buy all of it, whether he needs it or not!
  2. Thanks Ian, YHM. Hi Duncan, can you give me a bell 07973 two nine double one double four. Cheers
  3. CSR260 with Sterling immobiliser. Drove the car yesterday with no problems at all. Turned it off and removed the FIA key as usual. Tried to start this morning and tunring on the FIA key brings on the immobiliser LED flashing slowly as normal. Turn on the ignition key and the LED starts flashing rapidly as normal. Wave the sterling fob around the antenna and no change Tried the spare fob with the same result. After a minute or so the LED returns to flashing slowly, presumeably "normal" if it hasn't received an "activation". I've not had one of these Sterlings before; do they sometimes "forget", and/or is there a trick or something else to check (all fuses seem to be fine). Thanks (off to do a bit of footwell diving for a minute)

    Tracker

There's a couple of tracker suppliers in the Members Discount directory. ISTR one does a non-contract version that might suffice.
  6. Piers, Try starting from co,d with a second good (big) battery in parallel with the 7's (or as above with jump leads from another car). It may be the fuel pump isn't producing enough flow when cranking?
  7. Couple of options here
  8. In the SV I had one mounted on the lowered floor in front of the drivers seat - figured I could reach it easier/quicker if needed, than if it was on the passenger side. I bolted the bracket to the floor and then it was secured to the bracket with a velcro strap.
  9. As mentioned before my pax door does that. Cured with a strap on the outside to the top half door popper stud
  10. SBFS designed a pair of helmet bags that go either side of the sloping roll bar supports, with an optional bag in the middle some years ago. Not sure if they still do it but worth giving them a call/email. ISTR it was called a 3-piece luggage set or similar.
  11. I found the R1Rs perfectly predictable and progressive on the back of the SV, but I was running them at 17psi cold. New one has CR500's but difficult to compare because: it has inboard front, and independent rear, suspension so handing is completely differentit has an LSDit has twice the powerI've not really had the opportunity to push it yetI would certainly go for the R1R/T1R combination again, and although the T1Rs look similar to the ZV3's they're nothing like them (for the better!).
  12. Alan, as mentioned elsewhere, my experience of them on the rear of a 1.6kSS SV on 6x15" wheels was really good. I ran T1R's on the front and R1R's on the back, and found the balance to be perfect, even in some in the Alps.

    PMR radio

HI Nigel, A few of us use the Baofeng UV-5R https://www.amazon.co.uk/BaoFeng-UV-5R-136-174-400-480-Dual-Band/dp/B007HH6RR4/ And I really like the Microcom3 earsets from Sensorcom www.sensorcom.com I recommend the custom moulded eartips for them that you can get done at Sensorcom in Beckenham as well They are generally linked together via an intercom unit such as a Starcom Digital It could be possible to use a PMR radio and just the Microcom3, with a Push-to-Talk (PTT) button but you'd ned to ask Sensorcom to fit the plug for the PMR and a lead to a PTT button (if you ring Sensorcom ask for Howard and mention my name ). If they have problems I may be able to help.
  15. If you're just relying on the webshop, SBFS often make to order, so worth giving them a bell for a lead time.
  16. Mohair. More supple when cold and looks better
  17. Be wary of TLAs when describing dipping headlights! With respect to headlights, the term LHD technically means Left Hand Dip, which is what you have on a Right Hand Drive car Unfortunately some retailers (and even some manufacturers) use LHD to mean suitable for Left Hand Drive cars, whilst others use it to mean Left Hand Dip. Be careful to specify in words what you require
  18. I'm having a clear out here Will post here if any more added
