    One thing people always seem to forget is a spare pair of wiper blades (if your car has a windscreen of course). A few years ago, we drove up the M40 at night in a horrendous rainstorm. One of the wipers sheared in half where the rivet is attached and the arm carved an arc in the glass. Unbelievably, we were unable to buy a replacement at Stoneleigh......a kitcar show! Thankfully, a club member had a spare which got us home. The moral of the story is to carry a spare wiper blade!!

    No More Nails Interior & Exterior tape worked on my front plate. I bought the 19mm x 1.5m roll. The stuff CC used failed on the first windy day.

    You can get Comma G30 ready mixed but most Auto factors sell the concentrate because it is better value.

    And l guess the clear bulbs are more readily available.

    Is there any particular reason why Sevens are generally fitted with clear lenses and orange bulbs. A few years ago when l had my previous Seven, it had orange lenses and clear bulbs. I would be interested to know if there is a benefit or if it is more of a stylistic trend.

    I recently changed my reg plate and CC did the honours. Driving in the high winds around the M25, l discovered the rear plate was half hanging down and reckon l will need something better than the double-sided tape used by the Crawley workshop. Any recommendations?

    I recently got a car and would like to upgrade all the light bulbs. I am looking to improve the (legal) brightness and efficiency and will consider spending a few quid as long as l'm getting better reliability and improved performance than the standard ones fitted. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. It would also be helpful if you could tell me where l could source them from.

    SOLD! Sorry Andreas, l picked them up yesterday from the owner. I guess he has not yet got round to updating the topic. Seemed like a real bargain to me and a treasure trove of information.

    Can anyone tell me if a bottle of deionised water has a shelf life if it is rarely used? I have had this bottle for about 10 years for the occasional battery cell top up and don't know if l should chuck it and get a new bottle or whether it is still ok. Always stored in cool environment with the cap on the bottle.

    Thanks for your input guys. I specifically want the Caterham by Momo because it was slim and a much flatter design which l find more comfortable than the usual cylindrical shape. The leather also had a stippled finish which was good for grip.
