  1. Anybody got a Front bowl 1600cc crossflow sump they don't want? Could use one right now? WHY?
  2. For Sale: Sigma 1600 block and some ancillaries. Appears to be almost as new, showing signs of very little use. Complete with crank, but only 3no. Pistons and Conrods. The engine was used as a spare parts source for a track Caterham. Open to offers?
  3. Can't work out how to add pics ( I have tried several times!)
  4. Wow that was quick Jonathan! Yes, my S3 K series has a single hole in the passengers side but didn't seem to have any other fixing hole visible?
  5. When the 'red flag type' FIA isolator switch is mounted In the centre of the windscreen support bracket on the passenger side of the scuttle, how is it fixed in position? Are there FIA type switches available with a centre locking nut? Most switches seem to have 2no. Fixing holes in the base, but I don't seem to see installations utilising these, with just the one central hole appearing to be used? Or am I missing something?? Advice please! Regs,
  6. Q: Where is the FIA type removable 'red flag handle' cutout switch normally mounted- for Road / track day use? Q: How is it mounted? - (there appears to have been one mounted on my car previously, on the passengers side of the scuttle, in the triangle shaped windscreen support bracket. Only issue is there appeared to only be one central hole in the aluminium scuttle side - given that there appears to be two mounting screw holes to hold the isolator in place , how come I only have one hole through the side of the scuttle? Q; is there a switch available, with one central fixing nut instead of the two smaller fixing holes - or am i missing something? Answers appreciated , Regs,
  7. I have a Sigma compatible Type 9 Gearbox, purchased recently from a forum member, that I need to swap for a similar Type 9 K Series compatible box, if anybody can help.? Or an outright purchase of another Type 9 K series box, that's suitable.? Or sell the Sigma compatible one.? I've decided the cost to convert it to suit the K would really be a waste of effort, as it's more work that originally thought, The box is in excellent condition, as can be verified by it's original owner and would be an excellent purchase to use as originally designed, attached behind a Ford Sigma engine powered car. WHY?
  8. Looking for a K Series Dry Sump Pan - can anybody help please?
  9. Makita 18v grinder and diamond wheel - don't mess about!
  10. The Facet type pumps come in various pressure types - the ones recommended for twin carb set up are usually regulated to supply fuel at low pressure - max 2.5psi. The ones for injection cars are much higher pressure (as expected). My Lotus Twincam engine has a low pressure Facet pump fitted without a regulator and works just fine, although I purchased it and know it's origin and specification. The use of a regulator guarantees the pressure if you are unsure about the pump, however, it may be wise to just buy a new low pressure pump as the regulators are about the same price now days. The newer, Round Facet pumps can be purchased to your required spec and are reasonably priced - also self priming, will lift about 300mm above the tank and not quite as noisy as the square brick Facet type. Beware of cheap £12 far eastern copies they fail when you least want them to!
  11. Peter, know what you mean about Grandkids! Would you accept a very close offer of £250 -(so as to assist me with the cost of the necessary alterations to K Series spec. pls?) Do you know the radio's of the box (in particular 1st and 5th pls?) Kind regards, Pat.
  12. Peter, where did you go to my lovely?
  13. The last thing you want to do is show followers that you are braking! Don't you just hate the current driving technique of braking for every corner, every car that comes the other way, or every other reason to faulter at going forwards! I find the general quality of driving in the UK abismal, but now, realise that 99% of drivers have no empathy for proper driving technique, and 'reading' the white lines. I very often follow poor drivers (for a short while) - thinking they must have poor eyesight, when they brake for almost no reason at each bend in the road, or because another car comes the other way! I've started flashing my headlights every time they needlessly brake, to let them know what a terrible experience it is to follow them. Just can't believe the UK has such bad drivers!
  14. Peter, Thanks for the reply to my wanted ad. Let me have some more details regards the box please (condition , suitability for a K series install ) and oh, not forgetting - price please?
