  1. And one side is mostly covered by the exhaust so looks a bit odd to me.
  2. From what you've been used to i would suggest 420R with quad brake upgrade and for your reviness and great induction roar fit RBTB's.
  3. Great choice, sounds exactly the same as mine except for the yellow stripes. I take delivery april/May (factory build tho). I'm also in the Essex group, so look forward to seeing you sometime soon. Bill.
  4. Update: I've just had a great conversation with Doug and what a very affable bloke he is, I had many questions and not only did he answer all of them easily but in some detail also. He did not at any point try to sell me anything, so overall a very good experience and I will definitely be buying from him soon. Thanks very much Doug for your time and advice. Regards.Bill.
  5. Could try hot and cold to slightly stretch it. Fit to windscreen, secure problem press stud with lightly tensioned cramp, use hairdryer to heat area between it and next stud till it feels a bit soft and pliable then pour or spray on cold water, this has worked for me before in an upholstery situation when working with vinyl/faux leather. May be worth a try Pete before spending time and money. (don't use heat gun/paint stripper you could crack glass). Bill.
  6. Thanks very much Doug, will wait to hear from you. Best regards. Bill.
  7. I can't find a phone number for JAL. I don't know how to do email chats and prefer to talk to a real person. My enquiry would be regarding the pro com headset. As I'm a complete numpty where this technology is concerned i have questions to ask especially if I'm spending that much money. I live in Essex about 20 miles from JAL but can only visit by appointment.
  8. Safety first, fit a roll bar, end of.
  9. £169. Not a lot of money if it may save your life. And as #16 says why buy cheap twice, that's good advice.
  10. #276. Unfortunately I have paid my second deposit and cannot change anything now as it's a factory build, so when I get it I will run it for a year and then get the SPC Tracsport fitted.
  11. Geoff I have a 420R on order and have mentioned the apparent problems with the titan diff to the sales team and they seem to know nothing about it. Strange.
  12. #124 not heard anything back from Mr Mac yet then Geoff ?
  13. Get the 420R, bigger engine working less hard especially when doing your touring loaded up with gear, and you will learn the skills to exploit the power when you do track days. Bill.
  14. I have a new car on order (420R) and I'm so concerned about the titan problems that I'm considering having an SPC diff fitted asap after taking delivery. I understand you can't drive the car in to Tracsport as they don't do the job on the car so as I can't do this myself I'll have to pay someone to take it off and then reinstall.
  15. C C must know there is an issue with this so why aren't they doing something about it.
  16. #3. The stop and go kit looks good (video worth a look) is there a UK supplier? as it appears to be a USA product. Bill.
  17. Does anyone know of an after market rear wheel arch that has a closer fit than the CC supplied one's, as to me they have always looked a bit to big for the wheels. With a 6 inch wide wheel looking almost like a space saver and sitting too far inside the arch, even an 8inch wide wheel seems to have far too much space above it. Bill.
  18. I was told once of a chap arrested for stealing and drinking battery acid, he was taken to the police station put in a dry cell and charged the next day, he's currently doing ok and was very lucky it wasn't terminal.
  19. Yes very helpful and informative, thanks very much. Do you know if the battery master cut off switch (turned off) kills the cigar socket. Regards.Bill.
  20. I'm considering purchasing a CTEK MXS 5.0 battery charger and a NOCO boost plus GB40 1000 amp jump starter. Are these the preferred models used by the general membership? Thanks. Bill.
  21. Thanks Scott, I was thinking maybe 3/8 as it's in the middle, also as I sometimes work on bicycles i already have the smaller stuff.
  22. I've been thinking of getting a new socket set in metric as the one I have is imperial (had it 45years) and probably no good for my new caterham arriving in April. Could someone advise me on what is the best size drive and how many pieces please. Bill.
  23. Also this is what upholsters use to glue foam/sponge together when making cushions from offcuts.
  24. Carpet fitters type of aerosol contact glue. I got a large size in wilco and I think Halfords sell it as trim adhesive.
  25. According to CC they recently told me that they have to fit the padded wheel for the test.
