#407. Geoff I'm only stating what a member of the management team told me in an email and my question to him was about the current titan diff, he got that answer directly from G Mac when he asked him a few days after the webinar evening with CC.
I know Scott, I'm just saying what I've been told. I'm due my factory built 420R in about one month and I'm already worrying about the titan diff, when spending 45K on a car it shouldn't have problems that are known about. I'm hoping mine will be ok but if not I will have a Tracsport diff fitted asap after warranty has run out.
Maybe put a set of bigger wheels and tyres on just for the test. You could borrow from another car and then change back, it's got to be the cheapest option.
#25. Chris that looks like quite a good quality mat and May well be more waterproof than the ones I tested so if you're determined to go with that system then give it a go, it'll probably be ok as most of the time our cars are used on dry days only, when I do mine I'll be painting on the rubberized underseal as it'll be much easier than cutting, shaping and sticking and it can't fall off. Regards. Bill.
#17. Chris it Would require a lot of cutting and shaping and getting it to stick properly, I would prefer to paint something on which also can seal joints and then just touch up when required. Bill.
Does anyone underseal their C7, I'm thinking more about the mudguards/ wheel arches as I understand that the glassfibre versions are prone to star cracking on the top side due to stones being thrown up from the underside, so I'm thinking a good coating of underseal would provide a bit of a cushion, also what about underside panels and fuel tank. Thanks. Bill.
Excuse my ignorance on the subject of under body protection but I'm confused as to which dinitrol product you are talking about, is it ML penetrating cavity wax or 4941which looks like a thin spray on underseal ?
#5 blimey Chris i don't want to take the engine out at the roadside, lol, just a basic tool kit for a simple repair to maybe change the fan belt, cables etc before calling for recovery. I'll take your advice on the spanners tho, thanks.
I would like to put together a minimalist tool kit to carry in the 7 permanently, it's mainly the spanner sizes that I may need, I already have a stop& go puncture repair kit and mini compressor. All advice will be appreciated. Thanks. Bill.
I would like to get that book, I've seen it on Amazon for around £25. Is that about the right price, also it's In hardback 4th edition (2018), does anyone know if this is the current issue please. Thanks.Bill.
