    Electrical Woes

Under the dash there are a bank of 3 plus what im guessing is a flasher unit block, the fuses are hanging off a loom plug, basic to say the least and very difficult to access, how you can spot a blown fuse at the roadside is beyond me
  3. Would appreciate any suggestions on best way of retaining the rubber floor mats in lowered floors. Was going to use a couple of poppers at drivers end but wondering about using double sided carpet tape instead? Want to be able to take them in and out easily for cleaning

    Electrical Woes

Did a brands track event this evening and managed to get very wet. Going round i started to must up badly (hood up, heavy rain) so switched on the fan and heated screen, this on top of lights and wipers. All was well but when i came in i noticed that the ignition would not turn off when key removed. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting battery but to no avail. Eventually (after spinning) decided to pack in and go home, M25 and A2 badly flooded, lots of water in footwells by time garaged up, ignition still wouldn't turn off. so i pulled out the relays one by one (this is a 2016 sigma 310r) and discovered that middle relay removed deactivated ignition. So i then moved the top relay (identical) into middle relay space and now ingition functions normally except starter inoperative (must be top relay) Tried pushing middle relay into top space and starter instantly turns. My diagnosis is that the heavy current has welded ignition relay shut and a replacement should cure it. I have disconnected battery while car dries out and will order a new relay tomorrow. would appreciate any alternative views or advice if anyone has seen this before. Also how do i stop it happening again? many thanks
